figured as much, canfield getting no playing time at all in the preseason defintely wasn't a good sign for him

Yeah especially with Daniels and Ramsey in front of him.

I see Canfield going PS. Chase will be number 2 in 2011, with rent-a-backup Ramsey gone after 1 year

Hard to tell what the real deal with Canfield is. It's possible the Saints didn't want him to play so he can make it through waivers and resigned to the practice squad. I mean any flashes of being able to do anything worth while and boom, he is snapped up by another team. Just a thought...
