Dallas' problem lies with their coaching. They have all the talent in the world, but no one to drive the bus.

Question asked: Is Sean payton a possibility for Jerry Jones in Dallas in the offseason since Jerry Jones and Sean have a great relationship and Sean always wanted to coach a big market team..

My thoughts.
His contract in New Orleans expires in 2012 so if we were to lose Sean we'd get a huge incentive from Dallas possible multiple picks in the drafts, some conditional picks and if John Gruden wants to Coach again im sure Saints would be his top choice.. So it's a possible win-win situation for Saints.

Or would you be ticked off the Coach chose more money and big market over being a possible Saints legacy coach?

What do you guys think?

Sean Payton isn't going anywhere.

While it may be that Jason Garrett may not be Wade Phillips' permanent replacement, I don't think Jerry Jones stands much chance of landing Sean Payton. Mike Holmgren might be getting anxious to be on the sidelines again, and Mike Martz is a self-proclaimed offensive genius that Jones could pluck from the Bears. If Jones is smart, he will choose an offensive-minded coach for his team (maybe he should also fire himself as GM, and break down and hire one who has actual football knowledge).

Agree 100%!

Jerry is kind of like Al Davis... but not quite as scary looking. Close, but not quite.

Nope. Hate for Peyton to leave, wouldn't mind if COHWER came in.

I think Payton realizes he has a gem in Loomis, and how our front office is operated. The talent pool, and culture, and all that goes on behind the scenes gives SP a lot more flexibility than I think he would ever have in Dallas. Payton stays.

Payton has a job here as long as he wants one. If he even makes an offhand comment about leaving, NOLA will start a "Keep Sean Payton in New Orleans fund" and raise a ton of money to keep him there.
