Jim Henderson and WWLTV.com Sports Writer Bradley Handwerger about how long they expect Sean Payton will stay as coach of the New Orleans Saints.
Question asked: Is Sean payton a possibility for Jerry Jones in Dallas in the offseason since Jerry Jones and Sean have a great relationship and Sean always wanted to coach a big market team.. New Orleans News, Local News, Breaking News, Weather | wwltv.com | Video My thoughts. His contract in New Orleans expires in 2012 so if we were to lose Sean we'd get a huge incentive from Dallas possible multiple picks in the drafts, some conditional picks and if John Gruden wants to Coach again im sure Saints would be his top choice.. So it's a possible win-win situation for Saints. Or would you be ticked off the Coach chose more money and big market over being a possible Saints legacy coach? What do you guys think? I'd hate and would be a little ticked off if Sean left. I don't see it happening though.

The guy brought the Lombardi trophy to New Orleans. Tom Benson will probably pay him anything he wants to keep him here.

I'd find it hard for him to leave a place where he pretty much has the control he wants for a place that is ran by JJ. It would be Coaching Suicide. Jason Garret will probably hold on to the Job unless Cower or Gruden step in.
Also I'm surprised that Hendersen would bring up this topic this time of the season. Seems like an un-needed distraction. |

I would compare SP leaving New Orleans to Nick Saban leaving LSU.
Sean is solid for life in NOLA. He brought us what we thought we would never have. If he "Does" leave, he will be black listed in the Sappers Book of Shame, forever. Right by Nick Saban. As far as Chucky goes....yeah, I would be happy with him. |

I don't think Gruden would be a good fit here with the offense Sean has put together. I don't see John and Brees working together the same. Also gotta wonder if Sean Goes will Drew follow? Sean has it easy, has power, has respect, has the control, it wouldn't make sense.
