this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I'm playing Whodat in the FF playoffs today, who would you start at QB McNair against the Bills or Garcia against the Bengels? I have to make the choice 30 minutes before game time....

Definately Garcia. The 49\'ers are hot in the passing game. Besides Mcnair is hurt and going up against the number 2 defense in the league. The real weakness in the Bengals defemse is probably their secondary. I would go with Garcia.

My BIG concern would be if McNair is even going to play and if he does, can he finish the game.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 10, 2003) -- Two straight losses and two injured legs have the Tennessee Titans concerned.

Eric Moulds is Buffalo\'s best chance to beat a susceptible Titans defense.

The Titans, struggling through their longest losing streak of the season, again hope to be able to send a hobbled Steve McNair on the field as they host the Buffalo Bills.

An MRI on McNair\'s left ankle Tuesday revealed a new problem, a cracked bone spur. A team spokesman said the exam also showed a sprain, but the bone spur apparently is causing most of the pain.

The nine-year veteran now has injuries to both legs -- he strained his right calf on Nov. 23 in a victory over Atlanta.

McNair injured his ankle in a 29-27 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. Coach Jeff Fisher said Monday that McNair would not practice this week leading up to Sunday\'s game, and did not know whether the NFL\'s top-rated passer would play.

Just a little more info for you Joe.....

Buffalo\'s defense is finally living up to expectations, emerging as one of the NFL\'s best with three weeks left in the season.

Behind Sam Adams\' two-sack, seven-tackle performance that keyed Buffalo\'s 17-6 victory over the Jets on Sunday, the Bills climbed to second in the NFL in both total yards (3,474) and points (200) allowed. They are within striking distance of No. 1 in both categories -- Dallas has given up 3,391 yards and Tampa Bay has allowed 198 points.

The Bills caused a miserable day for Jets quarterback Chad Pennington, who was sacked a career-high five times and failed to produce a touchdown for the first time in 18 career starts.

The 49ers haven\'t played well at all on the road this year (they\'re winless in fact), and I don\'t see that changing today. McNair is a top-notch competitor and if he plays at all, I\'d expect him to play well. He might not put up great numbers, but I\'d be surprised if he does worse than Garcia today.

Well, here\'s what a few less than spectacular QB\'s have done against the Bengals defense.

K. Boller 15/27 302 2 1

T. Maddox 28/42 313 1 1

D. Flutie 15/33 210 2 0

Peyton Manning also had one of his worst days against the Buffalo defense:

Manning - IND 42 26 229 0 0

I\'m doomed to Garcia! Snowing in Cinncinati and I still don\'t know if McNair can play. Looks like Garcia to me.

A wise choice indeed. McNair isn\'t even playing. Way to go Joe........
