Why can't the NFL Network sign him as an analyst that way he could earn some coin part time while he reorganizes his finances...

He's gotta be better than this...

That is sad.
Too bad.
It makes me rather angry too, because these people have a lot of money for few years ,acquired at a young age during their 20's, and don't have the knowledge of money/income/wealth/taxes/business etc.
Deuce M.should not be in this situation
Most didn't come from middle -class homes etc.
There is no way he should foreclose on a home and one in Luling at that.
I bet it was some house.
Old movie star mansion type.
Why not a simple home, upper -middle class. Bought and paid for.
Easy on taxes and repair for his lifetime. Easy to sell and upgrade in future years.
Why not one car price range of $50,000. Lease it. Leases are those with money. There is no value in a car as years go by.
Why not no pays to entourage, family, friends,hangers-on, etc.
The hand-out line never stops and enough is never enough. Cry poor which is honest after these players put themselves on a monthly budget. Watch and pay their own bills. They will have to one day. Easy to do when you don't make millions a month due to being on a budget.
Pay outs to charities for tax reasons and just paying tax is a lot.
Financial saving plans for their future. Untouchable now and for the near future.
Going it alone or majority ownership in businesses is usually always doomsday.
Few sound businesses . Plan ahead for a job for afterfootball.
Real world jobs. Don't look for on -air commentating, etc.few of those and big names get those.
Gee ,I, we,could give him, these guys good advice.

This is sad for him. Hopefully, he learned his lesson and can pay his debts, get cleared, and regroup, live really well, really well for life, but budgeted, but not like tyring to live like a Tom Cruise.

I read some more links and while, lots of people say he was a likable guy,not flashy and stuff, and played football, there is a link out there about him maybe returning to football. Gosh, hope not. Once you have had your day, that is it. the game on the body, the aged body, and being out of football is really brutal.
Just hope the guy pays off his debts. Reorganizes his financial situation and gets a budget for himself and lives just simply. It can be done.
This must be embarrassing for him.
