Whats the word in Atlanta?

I hate to say this but as a business owner, that\'s what it\'s all about. MONEY. As a sales lady that once worked for me said\" It\'s not your job to like it, it\'s your job to sell it.\" This stands true in any business. And besides it doesn\'t make them a better player. If i was playing i\'d want all the sales money i could get too.

Hey, it\'s all about marketing and image. Vick is a flashy player that takes chances. So far, all of that risky scrambling and running has paid off. Kids want to be like Mike (Vick, that is).

Just like with anything, whether its tools, cars, cereal, toothpaste athletes, the public takes to and buys what it perceives it hot. How do they get those impressions? Marketing. And in Vick\'s case, he puts on a good show and the NFL and the media eat it up.

So, if you see everyone constantly promoting something as being the best, even if it may not actually be so, a certain segment of the population will naturally want to be associated with what everyone says it hot. That\'s just what happens, whether we like it or not.

Just my opinion (by the way, I have been in the oublic relations/advertising/sports marketing field for over 10 years, so I see it every day).
