Titans scare me...

No disrespect the Falcons (I know that will be a close game), but I think the Titans are our hardest game left.

1) We've never beat them
2) Hassleback
3) Outdoors and 49 F for the high
4) Chris Johnson finally woke up a couple of weeks ago

papz 12-05-2011 09:47 AM

I was thinking the same thing yesterday. For some strange reason, I'm concerned with this game the most for the rest of the season.

darstep 12-05-2011 09:51 AM

One week at a time.
One team at a time.
One play, one block, one tackle, one throw, one catch...
Sounds easy doesn't it?

Halo 12-05-2011 09:55 AM

I think the cold conditions make for a great playoff test.
Going all the way will have to head through at least 1 cold weather city.

halloween 65 12-05-2011 10:08 AM

49 degrees is perfect weather. Our new scary D will do well in this weather, wait and watch.

|Mitch| 12-05-2011 11:37 AM

With the way our offense has been starting fast the past few weeks, I think we'll be okay...

LBCutta 12-05-2011 01:05 PM

Our offense has started fast...but our last OUTDOOR game was a lost to TB on Oct 16th.....almost 2 months ago. And the weather was perfect....

crawgator 12-05-2011 01:34 PM

This game scares me as well.. It seems like the games we are supposed to win we tend to lose. It's these kind of game that hurt us in the playoff standings, or placements... Yes we are 9 - 3 , but we are getting close to the end now we need to keep fine tuning this team.. So lets get out there play like I know the Saints can, and pick up another victory... 2 keys for us this week... Stop Chris Johnson, and STOP Hasselbeck from picking us apart, When healthy this guy can be a very Dangerous QB..

lynwood 12-05-2011 01:41 PM

Harper beware!

st thomas 12-05-2011 01:43 PM

u can bet hasselbeak will be barking his way to beat the saints from his pattened playoff win against us last year. i'm concerned but i believe GW will get his defense right for him.

This late in the season, and so many teams fighting for the few available playoff positions, every team scares me. And if they are out of contention, they're playing to be spoilers. Don't take ANY team lightly.

FireVenturi 12-05-2011 02:54 PM

I agree with the majority, our toughest game. wouldn't surprise me if the titans pulled an upset.

Michigan_SF 12-05-2011 05:03 PM

Yay! NYG D line is scary, Lions are scary, Titans are scary. Someone needs to step up with one of these threads every week.

xan 12-05-2011 05:57 PM

Titans still have a lot to play for. Houston's no lock on the division title. If they close out 4-0, they have a real shot. They have a lot more to lose than we have to gain.

aquaboogie 12-05-2011 07:06 PM

Vikings game concerns me. We have not played well lately when opposing Rookie and Backup Quarterbacks.

TheOak 12-05-2011 07:35 PM

Yes this game scares me but not because of any player on the opposing team but because of these three things.
  • Road
  • 49F
  • Grass

All of which have proven to give us "issues" historically.

pumpkindriver 12-05-2011 07:56 PM

We will win this one as long as we play with fire and intensity. I can't see our Saints coming out flat. I get the feeling the team is back in mission mode. I really look for us to win out and then let the chips(seeds) fall where they may. We should beat the Titoilers by 2 TD's.

SaintPauly 12-05-2011 09:10 PM

I have had this game on my mind for the past two months. Titans are one of those teams, that no matter how bad they are doing, always show up to play us. Remember Vince Young? Yeah... We can win this, but I am also concerned.

saintsfan1976 12-05-2011 09:47 PM

Not me.

Titans have real issues.

Roman Harper.

1) We're overdue
2) He's over the hill
3) Great football weather. Good prep for the Packers.
4) We'll have 2-3 people on him

:bng: 31-17 ;)

Packers in Green Bay scare me... and these two women. That is all. Thank you.

Hey, at least they shaved their underarms!

LMAO. Look at the little boy on the right!

subguy 12-06-2011 03:19 AM

I think it is a potentially interesting matchup. I truly think the Saints will win...but I felt the Giants was an interesting matchup as well. I think the Titans play more zone than man to man. The weather is not the fact that concerns me, it is playing away from the Superdome in general.

homerj07 12-06-2011 07:29 AM

Thier "D" is stepping it up.

We need to contain CJ (like we did the other CJ last week) & instead of blitzing every down play some bump & run coverage on their less than stellar WRs.

Hope you're right, but just for good luck, I'm going with the same score I have went with for the past 2 weeks,

Saints 31 other team 21

Titans don't scare me ... but marsupials do ... 'cause they're FAST!

I really truly hope they DO this, that Hasselback talks them into a "heaving it up in the air in the general direction of Roman Harper" strategy, and I hope the Titans listen to him, and I hope they don't realize that a guy named Malcolm Jenkins was not in that Seattle game.

73Saint 12-06-2011 11:20 AM

They all scare me. The one that I am most nervous about is the NFCCG, in Green Bay...That one will be tough!!

Luda34 12-06-2011 11:24 AM

I don't know what you guy's see in Tenn there a little above average team. Yeah we will be playing there but as long as the wind is not blowing hard it can be 49 degress. Our Defense is playing much better even though Mathew Stafford had 400 yards passing I'm not worried.

If the Seattle game last year didn't turn Harper's hair completely white then this game might.

Mardigras9 12-06-2011 01:10 PM

hasselback is always tough for the Saints. Johnson is back in great form. Their D has been playing well also. We can win, but have to play a good game on both sides.

pumpkindriver 12-06-2011 07:34 PM

In case some of you have forgotten, Hasselback threw up a couple of wounded ducks against us last year and managed to get big completeions out of them. 95% of the time, those are inc's, 4% are int's. They had incredible luck in that game, I can't imagine him having that kind of luck with the Titoilers.

No cold in Tennessee will prepare us for what awaits in Green Bay, Wisconsin...

Well, the Saints have the mothers of two future linebacker draft picks for sure!:bng:

Heck... It's Green Bay... what do you expect the chicks to look like... Still, I bet you'd hit it.
I know Skymike would

No self-respecting Saints fan should be "scared" of ANY team in the NFL. Maybe "concerned" or "keeping an eye on them" but SCARED? Come on. THEY are the ones who should be scared of THE SAINTS. Not the other way around.

This isn't 1987 or 2003 anymore, where winning a game is based on luck and a prayer, and hoping that other teams will lose is the only way for the Saints to squeak into the playoffs! The Saints came within one/two plays of tying the Super Bowl champs in their house on opening night, and just beat 4 "playoff caliber" teams in a row. Lost two games earlier, largely due to coach being not on the sidelines due to BROKEN LEG. They are #1 in total offense, #1 in passing, #8 in rushing, #2 in points scored, and a defense that people feel kinda sucks but is still ranked BETTER than Green Bay's or New England's.
