Seriously. John Clayton is the guiltiest of the bunch. Pat Yasinkas (ESPN South Blog) is another offender. ESPN in general has included him in the 'elite' category from pretty much half-way through his rookie season.

We are all aware of why they do it. The league wants elite QBs, but it's offensive to just about anybody who knows much of anything about football to call Matt "Skid Britches" Ryan elite when the likes of Brady, Manning (either one really) and Drew are playing.

Ah, well there you have it. I can't stand ESPN, and haven't watched their NFL coverage in a few years.

You can't blame it on the tools he has. Their O line isn't great but has been decent for years. Excellent running game. A HOF TE and a solid #1 WR, and this year Hoolie-Oh and that other guy, whats his face?

Anyway, no excuse. The guy just isn't a top tier QB. His deep ball stats are as bad (maybe worse) than Tebow.

Clayton and his ilk are officially exposed...again...

On the contrary, I think the talking head should continue to call Matty Melt elite. It makes for a much more satisfying Clown meltdown at the end of the season.

I look at it this way...

If you put Drew on that same exact team, they win big and damn sure don't choke in the clutch.

That offense is close to being as talented as ours, the difference is talent and leadership at QB.

We got it, they don't.
