Nice trade up scenario...

OK, after coming down off my caffeine buzz I\'ve calmed down.
No trade ups.
At 18 we pick Hall, Robinson, or Vilma. One should still be there.
If not it means a sure fire stud has slipped and either way its a win-win for us.

This draft is 20 deep with top 10 studs. We will land a difference maker at 18 regardless of position.

The only trade up I\'d be in favor of is just a few spots, which would only cost us a late rounder or 2nd/3rd round position swap. Like maybe trade our 2B for someones early 3rd to move up 3 or 4 spots.
The Jets and Bengals will go LB/CB. I think Pittsburgh Takes Rivers. So that\'ll mean...
Uh-oh, my stress level is rising again.

Come draft day I\'ll be shakin\' like a cat passing a peach seed.

Regardless of the baggage, a receiver that goes to three out of four pro bowls deserves a little respect. And in the year that he didn\'t go to the pro bowl, he put up one of the finer performances I\'ve seen against Carolina. In that game, he sucked it up and played injured and made two catches for touchdowns, one of which, only a select few in the NFL could have made. After both, he had to be helped off the field by his teammates. I would have a hard time swallowing him being traded for draft picks.
A-FREAKIN\'-MEN.

I think we all better start warming up to the fact that as the draft approaches...the chances of us sitting at 18 and landing Vilma, Hall, or Robinson are slim to none and slim has one foot out the door. All of them had private workouts good enough to warrent them being picked in the top 15. Oh well, i guess it is a wide receiver in the first round. Maybe we can just be like the Chiefs and just outscore people all season.

I\'d like to see us trade up to 14 or 15(via Horn + 18, or one of our seconds + 18, and then trade Horn for picks) and select Reggie Williams if he is still available.

Then we can get best available LB and CB in second round.

Why? Well, this is a great reciever draft, and if a talent like Reggie Williams goes as far down as 16- I don\'t see him slipping past the 49ers- , we need to take advantage. Additionally, there is alot of value in th 2nd and 3rd round for CB and LB. However, many of the first round ILBs or CBs either aren\'t worth a mid-first round selection or will go high in the draft(1-12).
Why in the blue hell would we trade a probowl WR to move up three or four spots, just to select a guy who has probably more dropped balls in his college career than any of the other first round prospects? I\'m glad you aren\'t the GM...

The flip-side of that is that there were 20 players who\'s workouts warrented a top 15 pick.
I think one of these guys will slip...
Vilma, Hall, Robinson, DJ Williams, Reggie Williams (Although Clayton would be the WR pick for me).
Any of these 5 (or 6) would be IMPACT.

Reggie Wiliams? You can\'t be serious. Maybe Roy Williams. I wouldnt even do that for Roy Williams. If we use our 2cnd round picks to trade up into the first like I think we should. We could get Gamble or Strait with Vilma or DJ Williams. That would give us the best draft class period. If and I do mean IF they trade joe horn or somebody else to get a reciever I would have to get high enough to get Roy Williams, Fitzgerald. Or Winslow. But why you can stay down and get Micheal Clayton who I think is every bit as good a Hines Ward

Winslow is a TE...

And Clayton could probably be had at the back of the first round. Woods & Evans moved past him on most boards. Which means he is 7th at his position.

being rated 7th at wr in this draft isnt too bad, especially when 6-7 are expected to go in the first round

I know that. But picking 18 and taking the 7th best WR would be pretty dumb.

Trading Horn away just creates another huge hole the Saints would have to fill. They have need at LB and a huge need at CB....two holes are enough for me and trading Horn makes WR our number one priority. I dont think it makes any sense.
