... my response is an unequivocal "yes", absolutely ... this charade has gone on far enough ... call it what it is, pay-for-performance and adjust the suspensions accordingly ... it's the only way to restore the integrity of the NFL Commissioner's office.

I am hoping that at some point soon the GROWN UPS will take charge of this thing from the overgrown children, hopefully a few of the 32 owners will pick up the phone and have a quiet word or two with Rodger.
I want Payton back, at least partially. Of all of them, to me that's the one excessive over-the-top penalty that really stinks the most of railroading, vindictiveness, and pre-existing personal grudges between Goodell and Payton, rather than based on facts or the evidence or what really happened. |

It's gone too far for him to back down now.
Had this been settledvwhind closed doors he could have backed off and cut the suspension but if he does it know he is a sitting duck and everyone will know it. Not saying its right but unless the players can prove themselves innocent the suspensions will happen. The league should have put a amnesty in place.Anything prior to the last CBA would only be punished in fines/picks to player and franchise but anything found since would be hit heavy and hard. |
