Panther O-Line Woes

The Carolina Panthers offensive line woes that were brought on this offseason by attrition, defection, and retirement, took a hit again yesterday when offensive guard Bruce Nelson underwent hip surgery and is expected to be out through training camp. At this point Doug Brzezinski and former Saint Tutan Reyes enter training camp as the starting guards. Both were Panthers last season, combining to play in just one game.

I might feel bad for them, if they weren\'t in our division. I guess we\'ll see if Jake can scramble this season. Who bets he can do that too?

The biggest thing is how will it affect the Panther running game they depend so much on.

Their offensive line was the reason they made it to the Super Bowl offensively. The quarterback was average, the running back wasn\'t great, and the receivers were a motley crue at best. But when you package that around a fantastic line you get a good offense.

Coaching and scouting are premium in this league of roster turnover. Rebuilding their entire line will truly test what the Panthers staff is capable of.

To be honest, they\'re the only team in our division I don\'t hate. I hate the falcons and bucs, and will forever hate the niners and rams, but the panthers are alright, unless of course we\'re playing them.

It\'s not a question of whether or not the Saints will win the Super Bowl this year. It\'s a question of which Saint will be the MVP of the game.

What do you mean I\'m not supposed to snort the granola?
