I am ready to move on from Hartley

2 ****ing FG misses that cost us games this season.

No sense in keeping him around.

Defense.

Re: I am ready to move on from Hartley

I have been done with him. I have no trust in him. When he was about to kick I knew he would miss you could see it in his eyes.

Ok, then send David Thomas with him. His fault Hartley had too rekick. And sproles for 47 drops.

Hartely should be cut. He is garbage. David Thomas is another idiot that needs to go too

Gave their best. Got the calls. Still managed to lose. Might win 6.

The sad thing is he made the first one! Wow. Just wow. I have nothing to say I'm speechless. And this is crazy embarrassing. Rogers had all day all game.

I'm so pissed right now I could puke

Re: I am ready to move on from Hartley

I'm not going to blame Hartley for this loss. We can't convert in the red zone and it's hella frustrating.

With that said, every time Hartley is up for a field goal, I get an unsettling feeling in my stomach like I expect him to miss.

hagan714 09-30-2012 06:50 PM

Re: I am ready to move on from Hartley

thomas shoulders the blame

winmill1 09-30-2012 06:52 PM

Re: I am ready to move on from Hartley

I expect him to miss too. That kick against Atlanta in ot and just the way he looks I do not trust him.

winmill1 09-30-2012 06:55 PM

Re: I am ready to move on from Hartley

This is the most disappointing loss. We had them on the ropes. Receivers defense and Hartley are to blame. Hartleys only job is to kick. Man. Sproles and Moore can't catch squat. And Colston laughing after he dropped ball brought back very bad memories of Aaron Brooks. Man this sucks.

saintfan 09-30-2012 06:56 PM

Re: I am ready to move on from Hartley

PLENTY of blame to go around for this one. The missed FG was just the last eff up of the day. There were many prior to it.

Re: I am ready to move on from Hartley

Cut both of them, Cut all the D and tell sproles to learn how to catch

****ing absurd blaming him when he made the FG, which was being attempted because Sproles dropped the ball, and after Hartley makes it DT holds. GTFOH blaming him (I am agreeing with you, I added this after cause it doesn't seem like I am)

All that said, he isn't money so if we can find someone better I am fine with letting him go, but not because of today

Thomas..... sticking his arm out on the original kick...... they teach you NOT to do that in high school.

Agree with this 100%

Y'all are missing the point. Hartley is a head case. Sure, others are to blame for the loss but who wants a kicker that can't effing kick? He sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did Colston have like 9 catches today? He had a hell of a game. I understand your point but the guy is playing hrt and had one hell of a game. Maybe devery should get the f open

Time to dust off John Kasay ! But who in the front office can re-sign him?

spkb25 09-30-2012 07:05 PM

Re: I am ready to move on from Hartley

Kasay was suspect in Pre, but **** why not, lol. What's Carney up to, lol

really? It doesn't matter if he makes it or not... with our D they would have gone down there and scored a TD to win.

True but if we had a good d, Hartley would still suck. get rid of him he's garbage

Re: I am ready to move on from Hartley

I only saw on Red Zone. It seems like the drops were once again killer. The O-Line also had decent protection until it was most needed. The two sacks I saw, drew had exactly zero seconds. After the first one we converted but the second was too far and it led to the missed FG.

And the play calling: six tries to get in o the end zone from, what, the 6? And one run called...awful.

Kasey wouldn't have even been an option from that distance.

Re: I am ready to move on from Hartley

I give Hartley a pass. He came through in possibly the most clutch moment in saints history

winmill1 09-30-2012 07:16 PM

Re: I am ready to move on from Hartley

It's just when you see these rookie kickers kicking 15 in a row and 60 yarders. If Hartley lined for a 60 yarder, I would laugh. Confidence before today was not there. Even on extra points I hold my breath with him.

How long does he get a pass? He sucks man, how many more clutch kicks does he have to miss before people realize this??

This is the exact thinking why players like Shanle are still hear..it was 3 years ago. How long are we going to keep him missing kicks because of 1 good season?

And when the kicker that replaces Hartley misses a GW FG, are you going to lobby for him to replace too?

Not until he proves TIME AND TIME AGAIN that he can't make the clutch kicks. Give me a break!

Re: I am ready to move on from Hartley

He always seems to send them left or right. Scary every time. How do you do what he did in the SB and then suck? Seems it would boost his confidence. We played well today and that's all you can ask. Win some lose some.

SmashMouth 09-30-2012 07:46 PM

So why did the Saints give him a contract again? Please enlighten me!
