How did the Bucs defense fail? Numerous coverage breakdowns gave the Saints easy yards and points, and we go through the game film to explain a few of these failures.

The same thing nearly doomed our team

we had too many defensive errors, nothing to do with the scheme

our defensive players just aint that bright and forget what to do constantly

Not saying I know how complicated or not the scheme is, but I know two things

They got confused in GW's just blitz and play man coverage scheme
They are getting confused now

Not saying they won't learn because they probably will, but up until now they make the same mistakes in coverage over and over

I agree that they aren't that bright. Busted assignments from everyone all the time.(except for #50 and #33)

Greers' been toasted more thru 6 games than I saw all of last year or 2010.

I think our players IQ's are just fine.

I think one of our problems is our safeties have reverted back to that Gary Gibbs scheme mentality, even though its different players now than back then, you see a safety no where near the ball most of the time.

This is where you begin to think..........hmmmm Darren Sharper even as old as he is, I imagine could still play better than what our safety play has shown us, most of it though has been on Jenkins, Harper has actually improved from the GW scheme IMO, all Harper ever did was Blitz the QB.

Thats because QB's are destroying us on shorter patterns and our safeties play deep.
