There is a lot of heart on this team, that's for sure, and the leadership is definitely there ... I think that's what I like best about following this team,.

This is the 4th week in a row, the D gutted it out in the red zone, and
stopped at least one goal line series dead. I still dont think the O is 100% on track, and Brees himself would tell you so. You'll know they're on track, when theres a pressury 3rd down, and they nail it, like in the Texans game last year.

The defense still gave up over 400 yards.

- which shows you how useless statistics really are. The Raiders were really never a threat in this game. This defense is starting to show some
guts when it really matters. :)

Great game and great effort from this team! Vitt's return has brought a swagger back to the team!!!!!!

I thought you were kinda down on Vitt after the Broncos game?!! Like it was gonna be more of the same as Kromer? It took a game for him to get up to speed, but ya have to admit, these days they are back to LOOKING LIKE the familiar Saints we're used to.

I've become convinced, that the defense giving up yards thing, I've decided this is just how we are rolling this year. It is what it is. But it seems to me like they've held on more 1st-and-goal stands this year than in the entire last few years put together.

Have some tuff games coming up and there will be the true test. They have climbed back into a possible run (with some help) and that is all we hoped for.

It does seem like when oposing teams get in the red zone something kicks in on our defense and I also will take that every day. I so want to sweep Atlanta and be the team that takes them out in the playoffs. PLAYOFFS! Oh yea and I like that call to give us 10 extra seconds to score. Some of those celebration and BS penalties were someones way of telling our guys you can't have a good time COME ON MAN. If it would have been a tight game those could have hurt.

We need to beat ATL, the Bucs and the Panthers. 5-1 in the division is huge.

TheKillerB's, I like your team spirit. There it is!!!
Thnx for the stats.

Atl Falcons some kind of way lucked out with a fairly easy schedule for the rest of the year.

All I know is Saints have to win the rest and take it week by week.
Ugly win is good.

W is W is W.
L is L is L.

Other than pride and improving the overall record, why is it huge? As much as I hate saying it, we have little chance of catching the Falcons. Head to head is the first tiebreak. So beating them all the second go round is more important for overall and head to head than division.

The Falcons have FAR from an easy schedule the rest of the year. They could easily lose four of those games.
