Not very possible.

I could be wrong but if you put in a waiver claim there is nothing to negotiate, you have to pay what is left owed to him this season which is $1.6 million. Once he clears waivers, which would be after today then he is free to sign with whomever he wants and negotiate a salary. Again I could be wrong but I believe that's how it works.

Cant visit 4 teams in one day... It takes damn near 1/2 a day just to fly from Houston to New Orleans...

Presently he is visiting teams.

It was a front office move to start releasing these guys early. This is the end of the Reid Era in Philly and Babin frankly was becoming a bit of a whiner.

That being said, he's looking for a short term contract with a team that has a shot playing the post season. He's still got a LOT left in the tank and we haven't had a end pass rusher worth his water in a few years...

I say, grab him!

Jaguars secure Jason Babin’s contract

APWhen defensive end Jason Babin was cut by the Eagles, he probably thought he’d be upgrading his chances of playing for a contender.

If he did, he thought wrong.

Per a league source, Babin was awarded to the Jaguars, who at 2-9 were second on the priority list. At this point, it’s not known who else made a claim for his contract; it’s only known that the Chiefs, who have top priority, didn’t.

The next question becomes whether Babin will make noise about being involuntarily shipped to a bad team, which now holds his rights through 2015. Apart from playing for a bad team, Babin will now be playing in London once per year over the next three seasons.

If Babin opts to retire in lieu of playing for Jacksonville, the Jags would be able to recover $900,000 in signing bonus money, along with the remaining proration of his signing bonus for 2012, which by our calculations is another $88,000.Plus, he’d be giving up $1.69 million for roughly a month of work.

He is on his way to Atlanta to interview with the Falcons and will proceed to the New Orleans Saints following his interview with Atlanta. From there Jason will head to Denver on Wednesday night to talk shop with the Broncos. Another team that could be interested in his services are the Detroit Lions who also run the wide-9.

Word around Detroit has been they would be interested if he cleared waivers ... didn't want to foot his contract. Jags got him?, it's all water under the bridge now.
