The Ivory trade (beyond picks)

Trading Ivory changes our present cap space from 2M to 4M. With that extra space would you bring back one of our unsigned FAs?

If any, I would want Elbert Mack. He seemed to be a bright spot at times on that horrid defense last year, and would be a good player on special teams, which was just as bad as the defense.

I voted henderson, but just curious who is back up to Graham now?

Ben Watson was picked up as a FA (from Cleveland).

I imagine that the poll includes that all of these guys would be signed for league minimum.... Then Mack or even Ellis... but I wouldn't pay a cent over minimum for Ellis.

Ive a feeling we will draft an End, Henderson is not as useful any more, leaving Elbert mack as the one I would bring back.

If the Saints were to re-sign him, Ellis should pay the organization back for all the money he stole from the last contract.

If we don't take a WR in the draft, I think we can do a lot worse than bring back Henderson for the minimum... and Mack for that matter. We should be able to afford both on a 1 year deal.

We cant afford to burn it all up. The draft will take up a chunk of the 4M, then there is practice squad, and saving a bit in case we have players that go on IR and need replacing... We always seem to have a couple of those.

Personally I wouldn't go with more than one of them.

Practice squad guys likely won't count against the cap. They only count your top 50 salaries.

I think that we should save that cash and carry it over for a rainy day
