WalterFootball on Saints draft
15. Kenny Vaccaro, S, Texas: A- Grade
This is a very good pick by a smart team. The Saints had major issues at safety, and Kenny Vaccaro is one of the top players available. With Matt Ryan and Cam Newton in the division, New Orleans absolutely had to upgrade its secondary. Malcolm Jenkins and Roman Harper weren't cutting it.

75. Terron Armstead, OT, Arkansas-Pine Bluff: A Grade
It was sad to see Steve Gleason announce this pick. I don't understand why there's no cure for ALS yet, but hopefully that'll change soon. At any rate, the Saints made an outstanding selection with Terron Armstead, who is raw but has first-round talent. There was some speculation that Armstead could sneak into the end of the first round, so New Orleans just made a terrific value pick.

82. John Jenkins, NT, Georgia: A+ Grade
The Saints are absolutely killing this draft. John Jenkins was considered by some to be a late first-round prospect, but he fell because there just wasn't a league-wide need for nose tackles. The Saints probably don't mind too much because they needed a big defensive lineman in the middle of their new 3-4.
We're killing it!

And there you have it. I'm feeling pretty good about it myself right now.

Loomis has done a phenomenal job... Upgrading the secondary, finding a freakishly athletic new left tackle, and getting a 4th round pick for Ivory to use on grabbing a true NT?!? My god, it should be a crime to be as great as ol' Mickey!! Phenomenal job boss!

This is why I'm sooo happy I'm not a cowboys fan! But I have to say, I really will miss Ivory- I wanted more of what he did to the falcons defense last season!

There is not one single negative remark that I can make about this draft so far.

When you look at the draft as a whole, we're trying to pull in all the missing pieces of the puzzle.

No Wide Recievers, no fancy running backs, no "best player on the board" (regardless of whether we need that player or not).

I loved Ivory but replacing him with a young top SEC defensive tackle? I'll take that any day of the week!

Sean and Mickey aren't playing around anymore... It might have taken suspensions to make it happen but they seem to be out for blood!!

I do like the draft overall, especially when comparing the Saints' picks to the picks of the other NFCS teams, but I wouldn't give the draft so far an A grade... maybe a B.

And Armstead has the athleticism to be an eligible receiver close to the end zone.

Re: WalterFootball on our picks so far

Not just who we drafted but how we have manipulated the draft in order to get the people we want, surely that's an A grade. I think we have done superbly.

I'm also loving the thought of using Amrstead as an every down, both sides of the ball megaman. Let's line him up in a WildCat and send Brees out to WR! Hahaha. I can hear the commentary now ....

'..Armstead hands off to Thomas, back to Armstead, it's a Flea Flicker! goes deep and Morgan!!! TOUCHDOWN!..' - Payton can make this work! Hahaha

I FULLY understand. I "thought" this would go well with popcorn.

It goes better with 2 gallons of water.

Take a tablespoon of honey for the burning tongue. Use a snow cone for the other end. :p

If I were you or anyone wanting the horseradish, call them and ask about shipping. It was refrigerated when I bought it.

I'm liking our draft so far. Seems that across the board a lot of experts like what we've done. All 3 picks were guys that I thought should of been in the discussion when we were up. Nice work front office. Now lets hope these guys live up to the expectations.

Re: WalterFootball on our picks so far

I've been down on the draft this year, but walterfootball is consistently one of the most accurate football publications on the internet (He had us in the Super Bowl in 2009, after we went 8-8! And he nailed our performance in 2011 exactly!)

So this really does give me more confidence in how we are doing. If they are behind the picks, I can be a lot more optimistic.

Be careful with this ****. I'm a certified green chile tester (notice I even spell it correctly), well trained in my twenty odd years in New Mexico. I overdid this by just a couple of drops and couldn't taste anything for a week. One of my lessons in making stupid bets.

That wasn't the hottest they had. I think they had a 2.4M scoville bottle. Guy said the bottle should last you 15 years.

The Hatch Burger in Farmington NM is one of the best I've had.
