One thing about Tampa

These guys are a coach and a QB away from being serious contenders. They added huge pieces on defense this offseason with the intentions of tailor making thier D to stop Drew Brees and the Saints. They have some serious weapons on offense as well. Josh Freeman is not totally inept either. The main problem I saw with this team came from the top. It is obvious the coach does not have control nor the respect of his team. That was some of the most undisiplined football I have seen in my entire life. I have seen high school teams that have their **** together more than Tampa does. This guy continued to make stupid elementary mistakes like not putting enough men on the field.
The decision to go for the field goal at the end of the game ESPECIALLY against the Saints was one of the worst decisions I have ever seen. If they would have punted, we would have lost that game.
If I owned that team he would be fired today.
Anyway I will start my first rant as a semi positive rant. Despite all the stupidness of their coach, Tampa, believe it or not IS a good team, or at least they have the pieces to be. That defense was very stout today, and while our Oline sucked balls, you have to credit their D. This was not a cake walk team as most here were predicting it to be.

And while everything you said is true, it seems like you can say the same thing about Tampa every single year.

This year though, they spent a ****-ton of cap space on the secondary to compete with the Saints and Falcons. Speaking of which, Falcons/Buccaneers could be an awesome game...

I was just thinking the same. I think the Bucs are going to whip that ass. At least I hope so. That would send Falcons fans over the edge.

The 11 saints would've fallen in that trap game and did ... I think this team has much more resolve and fight than our predecessors ...

Bucs had the game and gave it away is right. They just couldn't seal the deal.

That's the difference. The Saints with Payton can finish games, while the Payton-less Saints couldn't. That's the problem with the Yucc's, they have a dead fish for a head coach. (hey, at least Mike Smith is funny to look at when he is mad.).

This game was pretty ugly for us but I will take the W. Think a lot of things need sorting out over the next week before we play the Cards!

Nice to be 2-0 though, but again, too may injuries.
