PFT Rankings - Saints 5th

Week Eight power rankings | ProFootballTalk

1. Chiefs (8-0; last week No. 1): Andy Reid could be taking this career rebirth thing a little too far.

2. Seahawks (7-1; No. 2): An ugly road win is still a road win, and with enough road wins — ugly or otherwise — the road to the Super Bowl will go through Seattle.

3. Colts (5-2; No. 3): Maybe they should trade Trent Richardson back to Cleveland for Josh Gordon.

4. Broncos (7-1; No. 4): Peyton Manning with two injured ankles probably runs even faster than Peyton Manning with two healthy ankles.

5. Saints (6-1; No. 5): The Saints did considerably better with two weeks to prepare for a visit from the Bills than the last team that had two weeks to prepare for a visit from the Bills.

6. 49ers (6-2; No. 6): Another week, another win over a team that wishes it had taken Colin Kaepernick in the 2011 draft.

7. Packers (5-2; No. 7): After Sunday night’s game, Vikings receiver Greg Jennings was saying to quarterback Aaron Rodgers, “Take me with you.”

8. Bengals (6-2; No. 8): For a change, folks in Cincinnati who want to dress for Halloween as a perennial playoff contender can wear a Bengals uniform.

9. Patriots (6-2; No. 9): Tom Brady’s hand isn’t swollen. The rest of his body is shrunken.

10. Lions (5-3; No. 12): Detroit fans who hate Matt Millen need to remember that he drafted Calvin Johnson.

That is pretty wild. I honestly didn't remember that it was Millen. If he is lucky that is what people will remember about his time there 20 years from now.

Yep, every dog finds a bone now and again, ... he won't be so lucky as to be remembered solely for drafting Megatron. As Danno pointed out, took him too many times to get it right and there was a plethora of questionable drafts before Calvin, ... the guy couldn't draft to save his life.

Lions are pretty consistently #10 in all the 'power-rankings', so that's a good sign they're on to something positive for a change ... at least everyone's looking at 'em in the same light.

Hey, don't go congratulating Matt Millen for "drafting" Calvin Johnson. Jesus Christ in heaven, i could have made that call...

Can't believe the amount of people that click on them, and then post how they don't like them.

I like to read the blurbs about each team. Its no different than 90% of the threads on every NFL site. Its an opinion of what someone thinks of your team, as well as other teams.

Why do people get their panties in such a wad over power ranking posts?

Yahoo believes!

1. New Orleans Saints (6-1, LW: 2)
They were rooting hard for the Rams to finish off Seattle on Monday night. Home-field advantage in the NFC means everything this season.
