For me, it has to be the play of the offensive line. Don't get me wrong it isn't the worst position on the team but by far the most dissappointing. What happened to being one of the most dominant and deepest lines in the league?

Losing is the most disappointing thing. I don\'t have all of the answers to fix things. Some people are getting paid a lot of money to have the answers and they obviously don\'t have them either. I spend money and more importantly to me I spend my time supporting this team. That leads me to believe that ownership is at fault for not bringing in or not replacing suboordinates that do not produce. He (Mr Benson) is still selling out the stadium and making a LOT of money no matter what he says to the press. Bottom line to me is our owner is content with the status quo. I\'m just glad that I now live in Colorado and am not tempted to buy season tickets for me and my son (we are both HUGE Saints fans) and we will both be much better skiers come draft day.

While I blame the offensive line for the silly mistakes, I believe that the overall failure of the offense is because of the scheme. McCarthy still believes that he can just line up and road grade opposing defenses. Scheme makes a difference. How is it that Denver can take a guy off the street and turn them into a 1000 yd back? Scheme.

My biggest disappointment is the defensive line by far. It was supposed to be the strength of the defense and was supposed to dominate the opposing offenses. They haven\'t been close. Poor gap control and a lack of a pass rush has led to comfortable QBs and running backs pretty much having their way with the entire defense.

Agree on the D-line. D in general, really. We have as much talent as a team like the NY Jets (and speed as well) but we are 3-4 and they are 5-1.

Say what you want about our sked vs. theirs, but we should be 5-2 if not 6-1 (MIN game was totally winable). You just can\'t get there by allowing other offenses to hang 30 or more on you at a pop.

Don\'t think this means you are off the hook though, Stallworth.

oh yeah, and Venturi sucks.

The most disappointing thing? Deuces inability to run the rock. Alot of people are gonna jump on him playing hurt, but look around the league the \'best\' all play hurt, in many ways that\'s what defines the team\'s character. Priest is banged up,Curtis had to sit out preseason to have enough \'juice\' to play, and lots of other teams have no-names stepping up to set the tone on offence. If he is too hurt to be effective why not be a real leader and sit. Otherwise start chewing up the field early on, and making plays like marquee players are paid to do!!

I don\'t think it is Deuce\'s running as much as it has been McCarthy\'s play-calling. Against the Raiders yes, Deuce missed some holes Karney opened for him, but that trust will come in time. My biggest frustration is with a coordinator who takes an offense with a 1600 yard runner and changes it. WTF is that? And stays with it when it is not working. And God forbid we get down by any amount of points cause he will have Brooks throwing every down like his life depends on it. Once they realize the full back set is the best set, and they also need to pass from this formationand not just run, Deuce will look like his old self.

I suppose you might have a point. We abandon the run way too fast. But the crux of my argument is that he needs to set the tone early on. Correct me if Im wrong but they did cow-tow to his demands for a lead blocker, they call his number early and often. So what if teams know what\'s comin\' , the same could be said of last year, we still had success. Karney is getting better with each game, try to find one fan to say otherwise. Deuce is rapidly becoming a hindrance to an offence that was designed around him. I believe if he can come out of the bye week firing on all cylinders, then just watch everything else open up. It won\'t be long before people start lauding Mcarthy, although admittedly he\'s no great innovator. On a side note, I think the defence will be a recurring achilles heel regardless of what Deuce does or does\'nt do

Other than what\'s already been mentioned...the TEs inability to catch the ball. Lamont Hall (not known for his ability to catch) showed up both starting TEs by making a spectacular catch in traffic. Boo and Ernie need to spend time with AB everyday after practice catching 10 yard passes. Add Stallworth to that list as well.

Another dissapointment was finding out what a monster Karney can be catching the ball in the flat and seeing it not utilized by McCarthy at least twice per game. Not only is the play likely to gain yards everytime, but Karney will deliver punishment to whichever CB or LB tries to come up and stop him.

Offseason disspointment...McCarthy didn\'t lose play calling responsibilities/Venturi didn\'t get the axe.

I must say the saints are yet to keep a team to under points yet. The win loss column has alot to do with this. Also Donte Stallworth has played in every game and is yet to catch more than one touchdown pass to date. I\'m not so dissapointed with the line as far as run blocking I think Duece not having that many 100 yard games has to do with coming back from injury to soon. He has put in his wait in scoring touchdowns though. 2 last sunday against Raiders. 2 against Minnesota.

Run defense.

We\'ve spent more time, draft picks, free agent moves and money trying to improve this one aspect of our game with no improvement.

This is Haslett\'s every year project with no discernable improvement.

TOM BENSON, he lets them do all this stupid s**t. Draft, change the O. Not make Hass change the DC. The list just keeps going. Tom Benson is my vote.

Myself,
I still hold out hope we can win the rest of our games...
Even though hoping for a high draft pick is more sane
Damn Falcons, why did they leave us with a pulse?
Well, I guess we are going ot have to punk them now
Go Saints.

I\'m most disappointed with the poor defensive coaching. For a unit to return almost completely intact, even adding a few \"quality\" missing pieces, to regress so egregiously is stupifying. How do 3 1st round picks and 2 2nd round picks play worse than Country Day\'s starting 4 is embarrassing.

The next most dissappointing aspect is the 3 total 1st quarter points in 7 games. This has been a persistent problem with the Saints under Haslett\'s regime, strongly hinting at a lack of preparation. Very few playoff caliber teams give over a third the game away.

Finally (such that I am fatigued by the exasperation) the lack of a clear leader on the team. There is no personality and no sense of purpose that other great teams have. Even the damn Bungles show up with heart from the opening wistle.
