Fox analysts on NFC Septic

Michael Strayhan has the money quote

Atlanta Falcons hope to get in
New Orleans Saints expect to get in

------

Fight for survival in that struggling nfc south
Or as Howie likes to call it
"The Nascar division"

W Nascar graphic
"The nfc south
They ain't looking so good"
Oh no
Those nfc south teams are driving the wrong way
Oh my this can get ugly

Atlnta leads the south
But they have a tough game in Lambeau tomorrow night
Look for the Saints to jump ahead in that division

Jimmy - we know the nfc south is going to host a playoff game, you know last week everyone was laughing saying that no one was going to even have a winning record
You look at the New Orleans Saints, even though they are next to last in defense, they are one of the worst in the league in forcing turnovers, and they don't protect Brees very well, they're gonna get hot, i think they are going to win out, they have a chance for a 9-7 record, they for sure in my opinion will win the division

Howie "yeah, they've lost a lot of close ball games, they get in it's anybody's game

Michael - when it comes to the Atlanta Falcons I almost feel like their apologizing for the situation they are in leading their division and possibly making the playoffs. This is where I think you are right Jimmy with the New Orleans Saints. The Saints are a tell that feels like if they get in anything can happen. They were the team that traveled to Seattle and Seattle had a losing record, and they lost. So this is a team that understands that once you make it to the playoffs anything can happen and I feel like Atlanta hopes to get in, whereas New Orleans expects to get in, a big difference in your mentality

Jimmy Yeah Atlanta has the tie breaker over New Orleans but I think New Orleans will have the better record

After watching that train wreck I will be mildly surprised if the Saints WIN another game this season!

you probably right. it may turn into the last game of the year nail bitter with 3 or all 4 needing help to win it all. that would be a perfect end to this season.

no one can claim it and all need help from other teams to claim the crown.

This team making the playoffs would be a huge disgrace to the NFL.

I don't recall all this fuss over the NFC West being so bad a few seasons ago.

Gotta tell ya - that BS from the talking out-there-arse heads really pi$$e$ me off...

For years I watched what is now the AFC North yield 9-7, 8-8 champs...

Same was true for the old NFC Central...

Then you had the Seahawks a few years ago...

Now because the NFC South is gonna have there turn at mediocrity is there a problem and we've got to change the rules?!?

Total Horses**t!!!

Personally, I don't see this team getting past the first round of the playoffs because of the injuries in the secondary and the lack of toughness on the offensive line...

So if we ended up with a better slot in the draft, I'd look at it as an opportunity to reload and reaffirm ourselves in the league..

Not saying tank it, but I'd like to see full evaluation of the players we have...

Re: Fox analysts on NFC Septic

You're absolutely right ... I never even considered some of the pathetic AFC North/NFC Central division champs.
