Not that it's all on Ryan, but something has to be done - that was the first Saints' game I can remember that I simply couldn't watch 'till the end.

It really doesn't matter that much if the moves they make will bring an immediate positive result, but some moves have to be made in order for the F/O and SP to save face.

I wanted Romeo after Spags, but ended up eating crow after Ryan had that strong first season - now I feel cheated and wronged that I had to take that crows life in vain.


On a side note, I don't think Vitt can be the scapegoat he has been for many years anymore, since they brought in a new positional coach for the LBs for this season.

Payton has never put an emphasis on defense since he was hired. Ironically it was defense that got him suspended for a year, which led to his current situation. I'm not certain there is a remedy for this while he is the HC.

I disagree. He fired his friend Gary Gibbs and hired GW.
When GW started sucking he hired Spags.
When Spags started sucking he hired Ryan.

We just suck at hiring DC's. It doesn't mean we don't emphasize it. Most of our drafts are defense oriented.

This really shows how inept the scouting department has been for years. Ireland hit on as many defensive players (so far) as I'd want to say the last group did in a span of five years.

Many of us have pointed out our draft suckage for several years now only to be beaten over the head with how awesome the 2006 draft was. :rolleyes:

BTW, that was freaking 10 years ago.

Fire all their a$$es , not just Ryan. I hate to think if Allen wins just 2 of the remaining games we'll never get their a$$es out of here, it will be the same thing next season.
