Shaughnessy, 29 has not played in an NFL game since the 2014 season with the Cardinals. He worked out for the Saints last fall when defensive end Bobby Richardson was injured, but was not signed.

Matt was good for a few years. If he still has some in the tank he would be a great addition.

Rather just bring in Dwight Freeney to help mentor Kikaha and the others.

Even at age 36, the Saints should be interested... our pass rush for 2015 was anemic and weak. Dwight still has a knack of getting to the QB.

We should sign him for sure. We could use a veteran so we can wonder when he will come off of PUP. Wait, we already have Byrd for that.
