I think it was 18 years in total. He had a plea deal worked out where he would only serve a total of 9, but the judge rejected it.

i remember the rejection, thought it was for more than 9 years. still 18 years he is lucky

No doubt we'll hear a story soon that Sharper has been beat up in prison.

In 18 years he'll be early 60's i believe.

Awful to think that his play on the field really made me admire him until this whole saga first came to light. The women deserve justice, I don't know if 18 years is but it's not my job to speculate.

it's weird man, and it just goes to show that rape really isn't about sex at all. He could have got laid pretty much whenever he wanted...just so weird man.

I don't know if it is justice either, but on top of the jail sentence he is also broke, known as a rapist, and will never be considered for HOF.

Well, I meant IDEALLY, all 100% proven-to-be-guilty rapists and murderers should be executed. I do beleieve there are innocent people behind bars. I rememeber the story about that man that you mentioned - I was happy for him when he was released.

Reason for eighteen years is that a lot of other women that had come on forward. That is why and plus it happened also in multiple states. Is the reason he got federal instead of state prison. There is no parole in the federal system.
