oh, you'll like this one:

The Houston pro soccer team is called the "Dynamo." yawn.

The were originally supposed to be the "1836-ers" -- meaning the year of Texas independence. But the suits were afraid the Mexicans would be offended, and some militant skin-obsessed hate groups were.

What these dumbasses dont realize is that the Texas Revolution was no more a "race war" than the American Revolution. There were Hispanics fighting for the Texians both at the Alamo, and alongside Sam Houston. Look at the memorialized names of Texas revolutionaries -- what the HELL kind of name do you think ZAPATA is? or DE ZEVALA? Go to the battlefield at San Jacinto, and read the markers-- Spanish names everywhere.

That would be like English dudes getting mad at the Philidelphia 76ers.
Embarassing how stupid some of my brothers are.

And if I gave a damn about soccer, I'd enjoy having '36ers stuff.

Ah, but you see, you must never confuse people with the facts.

The War Against Northern Aggression wasn't a race war either,
but people are fond of saying it is. *shrug*

Its all good, '66. Texas and Louisiana are about about to secede together, and we'll call the new state LaTex. We'll have the best food,
toughest dudes, best football, prettiest girls, and we'll drill when and where we please, so we'll have the cheapest gas.

... and we'll start our own space program too.

Having gone to high school in Texas I have studied the Texas Revolution in several different history classes and it's stupid to think it had anything to do with race.
EDIT: Oh yeah, welcome to the best place to talk intelligently about Saints football.
