Welcome aboard, Wilde. When you are in New Orleans and would like a little flavor from home, there is an excellent German restaurant called Jagerhaus just about a block off of Bourbon Street on Conti. The owner is from the Czech Republic. They have a great menu, a nice choice of beer, and probably the best coffee in the city. Their Sunday brunch is incredible.

D_it_up is right. It's one of my favorite off-beat restaurants in the city. It's excellent. I've been 4 times this year.

New Orleans is known for great food. Calling a Jagerhaus "excellent" is a true complement.

Enjoy!
