My NFL Regular Season Predictions
Posted 09-05-2013 at 04:59 AM by BoudinSandwich
These predictions were done by making picks on a game-by-game basis. I don't believe in doing playoff predictions this early, so it's just regular season.
AFC East
AFC North
AFC South
AFC West
NFC East
NFC North
NFC South
NFC West
So, the playoff seeding would look like this:
AFC
NFC
AFC East
- New England Patriots 12-4
The BB Era just keeps winning. - Buffalo Bills 7-9
An average season for a team that just isn't strong enough. - New York Jets 6-10
The Jets are bad, but their D saves a few games. - Miami Dolphins 5-11
All the promise and hype falls flat. They're simply not good.
AFC North
- Baltimore Ravens 8-8
Despite a 'Super Bowl Hangover' and a depleted roster, the Ravens scrap by to win the division. - Pittsburgh Steelers 8-8
The Steelers' window has closed, it's about to be locked. - Cincinnati Bengals 7-9
Cincinnati brings out some surprises this season. - Cleveland Browns 5-11
The Browns continue to stink.
AFC South
- Houston Texans 12-4
Houston makes another strong regular season run. - Indianapolis Colts 11-5
Turns out Luck doesn't slump in his 2nd season. - Tennessee Titans 7-9
A re-engergized CJ still isn't enough to take this team to the playoffs. - Jacksonville Jaguars 3-13
Terrible.
AFC West
- Denver Broncos 11-5
Denver has a tougher schedule than most people realize. - San Diego Chargers 10-6
San Diego gets back on track, but still are not championship worthy. - Kansas City Chiefs 8-8
The Chiefs now have an offense. Maybe next year? - Oakland Raiders 3-13
The worst team in the league.
NFC East
- Washington Redskins 9-7
Despite RG3 missing a few midseason games, Washington clinches with a W against the Giants in Week 17. - Dallas Cowboys 8-8
Dallas pats themselves on the back for another glamorous mediocre season. - New York Giants 8-8
The Giants struggle this season and lose their playoff chances in the last week. Coughlin will be on the hot seat at the end of the season... again. - Philadelphia Eagles 6-10
A new flashy offense picks up a few early Ws, but Vick is terrible.
NFC North
- Green Bay Packers 11-5
Green Bay suffers from a tough schedule, but still comes out on top. - Chicago Bears 9-7
Typical wildcard team. - Minnesota Vikings 8-8
Peterson steadily declines and last year's flashes won't be seen again. - Detroit Lions 7-9
The Lions just can seem to string enough wins together.
NFC South
- New Orleans Saints 11-5
The Saints handle a hellacious schedule with class. - Atlanta Falcons 9-7
The luck has run out in Atlanta, no more bounces from the football gods. - Carolina Panthers 8-8
Cam Newton puts the team on his back. He's just not that good. - Tampa Bay Buccaneers 6-10
While Tampa may start out hot, the real Bucs show their true creamsickle colors.
NFC West
- San Francisco 49ers 12-4
Teams begin to solve Kaepernick and the pistol, but that D is just so good. - Seattle Seahawks 8-8
Seattle is still very good, they just have to 'pay the piper' this season. They'll be back on track next season. - St. Louis Rams 7-9
Totally inconsistent. - Arizona Cardinals 6-10
Every one of Arizona's wins seems like a complete upset spawned by an opportunistic defense.
So, the playoff seeding would look like this:
AFC
- New England
- Houston
- Denver
- Baltimore
- Indianapolis
- San Diego
NFC
- San Francisco
- New Orleans
- Green Bay
- Washington
- Atlanta
- Chicago
