CWS Brackets

It's probably as tough a CWS as I've seen. Real good teams 1-8.

Looks like LSU has found their relief pitching again after suffering a couple of crazy injuries (both Tommy Johns) with a couple of guys in the rotation early in the year. On the radio Paul Manieri was saying they have 12 guys who can all throw over 93mph. That kid Guidry who closed out the second game against KY was clutch and had a breakthrough moment. Their bone crushing hitting has returned, but cautions abound as the CWS ballpark is overly huge. That's why I still prefer the older Rosenblatt stadium. Maybe that's the reason they did build the new stadium bigger, to allow teams with weaker bats a better chance to shine, as UCLA did a while ago against LSU.

Geaux LSU ... next game Saturday.

This has been an amazing CWS. So many close games and lots of good pitching. The pitch clock only adds to the intensity. Tigers seem like a team of destiny and damn are they a fun group to watch!
