It's sad it didn't receive its due national publicity. An undefeated season in baseball will likely not ever be replicated.

It was mentioned fairly widely. The ABC national news had a story on it, as did ESPN. They even talked about how amazing it was on NFL Radio. The no doubt had to had been others. The consecutive game record is still alive. They'll be hopefully extending it next season.
