this is a discussion within the College Community Forum; I dunno, I think they beat the best defense in the country today. Bama was good....

No, but the playcalling and decision making damn sure does. What's the deal with having Jackson try two FGs outside of 45 yards? Why not simply go for it? If you don't get it, what have you lost? You give up the same field position. If you do get it, drive is alive, and at least you are closer. I thought those decisions were gonna cost us big, but Jackson's punts were on the money in the second half. And if not for plays breaking down and Jamarcus improvising, which I am very impressed with out of him, we may have been talking about a loss. But that kid has heart. Huge win though. Hopefully we move up to 4 in the country, and are looking at Miami in a BCS bowl.

Yes. We need more consistency on offense. We should be able to put up at least 35 points weekly with the weapons we have to utilize. However, putting up 16 points in Bama is impressive. Look we struggled to blow Ap. State out last week. Thank goodness we have an outstanding defense.
Wouldn't it be grand if Texas would lose a game this year? If we win the SEC championship game, and with a loss from Texas, we might have a chance at seeing a USC vs LSU game we wanted years ago. |

That would be sweet. Ever since Halo made this though, I have been wondering whem someone said LSU's offense sucked. I remember after Az. State, I was pissed about the sit back defense. And after Tenn, I was pissed about the way we shut it down the entire second half like our balls had been cut off. I think it has always been more coaching and playcalling this year than anything specific about the offense. But Texas won't lose, and even if they do, Miami is ahead of us. I would not mind an LSU/Miami bowl game at all. How ironic for a team from Louisiana to be playing the Hurricanes if it were to happen.

Here I am daydreaming that Reggie McNeal will light up Texas for 3 scores and runs for two more... how sweet it would be. Okay not likely geez... but I do think we can hop up to number 3 in the rankings. We should be playing a top 10 team in the SEC title game... with a victory we should overtake Miami for the third spot.

I can agree with that. We are ahead of Penn State in the two human polls, but they are ahead of us in the BCS poll for some reason. Damn computer. The big 10 sucks, how can they be rated higher than us? I was glad Auburn beat Georgia, cause that helped us, but Florida losing to SC hurt us big time. And Tenn sucking after they beat us, as well as Az. State, has really killed us. We need bama to beat Auburn and keep a high ranking, but either one of those teams could win that game and it would help nor hurt us too much. We need Florida and Tenn to win more. And hopefully Georgia Tech finds some mojo to beat Miami. Penn State has an equally sorry schedule remaining as us, but like you said, we have the SEC champ game that can push us up.

i dont think the offense sucks i just believe it is highly inconsistent. Considering the way we played against applachian state i was highly worried about the bama game and now im glad it worked out in the end. For the most part i think us being behind penn state sucks because the sec is way more competitive than the big ten and we beat number 3 so just go ahead and put us 3 either way as long as we dont lay an egg these last two games i look forward to the rest of the season and hopefully the offense catching fire... like the shirt says les is more well looks so far on the offensive side of the football les has been the case with all the talent we have . . . GO TIGERS!!!!
