Can someone please explain how John Brady still has a job?
 

Every year this idiot somehow manages to bring in great recruiting classes, but every year LSU falls flat on its a**.

The Tigers lead #20 Ohio State by 15 points with 5:36 left to go in the game by a score of 73-58. When the game ended...they had lost 76-78. THEY WERE OUTSCORED 20-3 IN THE LAST FIVE AND A HALF MINUTES!!! WTF!

I don't know how he got to this year. I think being a nice guy only goes so far, at some point LSU is going to have to take a look at Basketball and Baseball again. I don't think Smoke is the man for the job either.

But yeah he's already looking like he's headed to not making the tournament and started with a top 10 caliber team. Think maybe it's time.

I've been a fan of Brady and I don't understand all what the LSU fans say about him, the guy knows basketball, I just wonder how many fans will join on the bandwagon now we're in the Final Four, I have a few friends who bashed Brady, now that we're in the good position to win it all they still won't give him credit for a job well done, If they don't like him because their saying he's a jerk has nothing to do with winning or losing, that's a personal issue.
I saw big LSU football fans pulling for Duke, can't be a hugh fan of the Tigers if they pulled for Duke to beat us.

Wow!!! Is this a foot in mouth thread or what? 1st Final Four appearance in 20 years. Honestly though, I was doubting the man last year, but he's led a very young LSU team to the Final Four. Not much else I can say on that. As for Smoke Laval, he should have got the axe 3 years ago. All that talent & nothing to show for it but 1 & outs in college World Series play.

We lost a big step in our baseball program, looked up for us for awhile though, I hope to see us return to good play soon, it won't be this season I'm afraid.
Back to basketball, recruits should be great next couple of years, dame I hope Davis and Thomas sticks around next year.

I won't take back anything I said in this thread. LSU has gotten this far because of pure athletic talent, not because of the coach. Duke was overrated all year, and Texas has worse perimeter shooters than we do. If you want to know about John Brady's affect as a coach just look at this season's turnover statistics. The Tigers turned the ball over 16 times a game during the regular-season. That number has not improved much during tournament play. I know that the team is mostly comprised of freshman, but a turnover ratio that large points directly to the coaching no matter how young the team is. And don't forget, this has been a common problem ever since Brady got here. I'm glad, scratch that, ecstatic that the Tigers are going to the final four, but I just think this team could still be better with consistent coaching. I would also like to know what you guys thought about this at the beginning of the season. I didn't see you throwing in your 2¢ then .

Without good coaching your dead in the water, that's a fact.
I have been saying I liked Brady before this season, I'm not one to jump on a bandwagon just because a team is doing well, in fact I'm one of those ppl that stay with a team good or bad, hell I've been a Saints fan for 30 years.
Brady is doing a hell of a job with his Tigers, no one can deny that.
