OFFENSE

QB: Erik Ainge
Tennessee, Sr.
The 2006 season was quite literally a break-through year for Ainge, who broke a school record by completing 67 percent of his passes. Ainge also passed for 2,989 yards and threw 19 touchdowns.

RB: BenJarvus Green-Ellis
Ole Miss, Sr.
A year ago, Green-Ellis ranked third in SEC rushing with 1,000 yards and became only the third player in Mississippi history to reach the 1,000-yard mark.

RB: Rafael Little
Kentucky, Sr.
Little was an all-conference selection in 2005. His totals dipped in '06 largely because of an injury that forced him to miss four games and limited his productivity in four others. He came on strong and recorded more than half of his rushing yardage in the last four games of last season, including a 119-yard performance against Tennessee.

WR: DJ Hall
Alabama, Sr.
A second-team All-SEC selection a year ago, Hall is coming off an excellent junior year in which he caught 62 passes for 1,056 yards and five touchdowns. He set a school record with seven 100-yard receiving games, including five in a row against Arkansas, Florida, Duke, Ole Miss and Tennessee.

WR: Keenan Burton
Kentucky, Sr.
Last season, he led the SEC with 12 touchdown catches and was second in the conference with 77 receptions for the improving Wildcats offense.

TE: Cornelius Ingram
Florida, Jr.
He notched 30 receptions for 380 yards in 2006, with the vast majority of that production coming in the second half of the season. He had six catches for 71 yards in the SEC championship game.

OT: Phil Trautwein
Florida, Sr.
Hey, somebody was blocking for that offense that averaged 396 yards in 2006. Trautwein started every game last season and earned second-team All-SEC recognition from the league's coaches.

OT: Andre Smith
Alabama, So.
He was only the seventh true freshman to start a season-opener for Alabama since 1972. Smith posted a team-leading 62 knockdown blocks.

G: Anthony Parker
Tennessee, Jr.
A solid pass blocker, he started in all 12 regular season games for the Volunteers, who allowed just 19 sacks all season and ranked 12th nationally in passing offense.

G: Herman Johnson
LSU, Jr.
He's quite literally grown into the role of an effective offensive lineman. At 6-foot-7, 351 pounds, he's the biggest LSU football player in history. He started 10 games last season and recorded 62 knockdowns and 22 "pancake" blocks for the Tigers, who last season led the SEC in total offense.

C: Antoine Caldwell
Alabama, Jr.
A starter in 25 consecutive games, Caldwell posted 58 knockdown blocks in '06 and led the Tide in that category in games against Vanderbilt, Louisiana-Monroe, Florida and Ole.

DEFENSE

DE: Titus Brown
Mississippi State, Sr.
Last year, in his first season at defensive end, Brown posted 14 1/2 tackles for losses - including 7 1/2 sacks.

DE: Tyson Jackson
LSU, Jr.
Along with Dorsey, he anchors perhaps the best defensive line in the country. Jackson posted 37 tackles last year, including 8 1/2 sacks and 10 tackles for losses. He also had an interception.

DT: Jeff Owens
Georgia, Jr.
In his first year as a starter he had 26 tackles, 21 of which were solos, and was credited with 19 quarterback pressures. He had one sack.

DT: Ernest Mitchell
Arkansas, Jr.
Forced by attrition into the starting lineup, Mitchell responded in a big way. He was credited with 47 tackles – 22 solo stops – and 10 for losses.

LB: Wesley Woodyard
Kentucky, Sr.
Averaged 9.4 tackles last season to rank second in the SEC. He led the Wildcats with 122 total stops and 9 1/2 tackles for losses.

LB: Ali Highsmith
LSU, Sr.
A Butkus Award semifinalist in 2006 after posting 63 tackles, of which 5 1/2 went for losses and three were sacks. He also forced two fumbles.

LB: Brandon Miller
Georgia, Sr.
Although posting modest tackle totals in 2006, Miller flourished in the middle last spring and is expected to emerge as an elite player this season.

CB: Jonathan Zenon
LSU, Sr.
Zenon is coming off an excellent season in which he was credited with 16 passes defended, including four interception. Two of those were returned for touchdowns.

CB: Jonathan Wilhite
Auburn, Sr.
A third-year starter, Wilhite has posted 71 tackles, 13 passes broken up and one interception in his career.

S: Tony Joiner
Florida, Sr.
Joiner was a key, though often overlooked, figure in the Gators' national championship campaign. His 59 tackles led all Florida defensive backs, and he also had two interceptions. He'll have more responsibility this year as the only returning starter in the secondary.

S: Kelin Johnson
Georgia, Sr.
In his first season as a full-time starter, Johnson ranked third among Bulldogs defenders with 60 tackles, including two sacks, and had two interceptions.

SPECIAL TEAMS

K: Ryan Succop
South Carolina, Jr.
A year ago, Succop converted 16 of 20 field-goal attempts (80 percent) and had a longest conversion of 55 yards. He was a Groza Award semifinalist.

P: Ryan Succop
South Carolina, Jr.
Although he didn't punt often enough to qualify for SEC rankings, his 43.6 average on 27 attempts would have ranked third in the conference last year. His longest kick covered 58 yards.

RET: Felix Jones
Arkansas, Jr.
In 2006 Jones averaged 24.1 yards on 23 kickoff returns. He scored on a 100-yard return against Ole Miss, which was one of three returns he had on the season that covered more than 50 yards.

UTIL: Trindon Holliday
LSU, So.
Perhaps the fastest player in college football, Holliday's role in the offense is expected to increase significantly. Last season he averaged 12.3 yards on 14 rushes and 32.4 yards on five kickoff returns. He should get many more opportunities to touch the ball this season.
