KEY PLAYS: Danny McCray picks off Mississippi State quarterback Michael Henig with linebacker Ali Highsmith applying the pressure on a blitz. The Tigers carve out 35 yards on the ground on Jacob Hester’s 15-yard burst, Matt Flynn’s 5-yard keeper and two runs by Keiland Williams for 15 more. David puts LSU’s first points of the season on the scoreboard after the drive stalls.

KEY PLAYS: Jonathan Zenon snags an interception when Henig tries to wedge a pass to Lance Long on a one-on-one fly pattern. The Tigers move to the Bulldogs 8 when Flynn and Doucet hook up for 14 yards on third-and-11 and Hester crashes 17 yards on a toss play, with a springing block from Jared Mitchell. A third-down pass interference penalty on State’s Jasper O’Quinn against Doucet in the end zone sets up Williams’ 1-yard run.

KEY PLAYS: The Tigers methodically eviscerate the State defense after taking the second-half kickoff. Flynn whips three 11-yard completions to Doucet, including the TD and the Tigers QB also gobbles up 21 yards on a scramble, the last several courtesy of Brandon LaFell’s crunching block.

KEY PLAYS: Steltz nabs his second pick of the night and rambled 49 yards on the return to the State 8. That comes one play after Al Woods buries Henig for an 11-yard sack.
