Well, I guess we finally get to see.......
...an LSU team that is totally Les Miles' team. From the coaching staff he's hired to the players he's recruited. And all I can say is that I don't like it. The coaching staff never seems like they're on the same page, game management is atrocious and the players do not look like they're 'coached up'. The offensive line should be a lot stronger than what it is,and the run game should be a power area. This does not look like an SEC team. The last couple of years we have taken steps in the wrong direction and I think if we were all honest we knew we weren't a true #4 team. But I hoped that we would have something a little special for Florida and catch them when they were vulnerable. But nope, we wasted that opportunity and once again the coaching staff looked confused as did the players. This is the SEC and we play 'Big Boy' football, Les, too bad you never got it.

the offense just doesn't gel...i'd say that's the MAIN problem.

I think the defense is 1,000,000 times better than last year. Very impressive for a first year coordinator.
The offense is "don't throw an interception" and although we won't lose 5 games this year, we'll only lose 2 or 3. Seemed like Jordan Jefferson was so out of practice throwing the ball that when he did he almost looked awkward. And it's amazing, he's a pocket QB. the offensive line can't block. For being the best line Les Miles claims to have since he came to LSU, I've seen my fair share of sacks. This just isn't the year, but honestly I feel hopeful. The team seems to be reloading with talent. I personally think this team makes too many mental mistakes, and that has a lot to do with coaching. |

Not impressed at all this season even with the wins. This is not the Same LSU team of years past. What is with the no huddle, look to the sideline like meercats for the play? Awful. The defense is good due to the talent we have not coaching. Used to Blitz a heck of a lot more and pressure the QB. JJ takes too much time to make a descision with the pass and has no pocket presence. Les has become conservative. Playing not to lose is not the same as playing to win. This was a big game and he played scared. Hopefully he will change his hat and get back to SEC football.

Is it me or did LSU suit up Aaron Brooks at QB?

Honestly neither team looked great per se. Compared to previous teams, I think the 2 recent national champ teams would have killed both LSU and Florida.
Just think, Florida scored 13 points! For all the cheers of "overrated" at LSU, I feel the same for Florida. Honestly, Alabama is playing the best football in the SEC right now and think if either team would have played Bama last night it would have been a wipe out. |
