The problem I see with the playcalling is that you have two coaches trying to call two different offensive schemes. That was fine and dandy when we were still running Jimbo Fisher's scheme (which actually included the first year under the current OC - Crowton did not actually implement his offense until the following season) is because it melded well with Les Miles. The option, on the other hand, is a completely different story. It's a bit of a cliché, but if you're going to run the option you have to commit to the option.
Yeah, the offense will improve if they fire Crowton. It would also most likely improve if they kept him and got rid of Miles imo. The more likely conclusion is that they will both get fired. |
