Living in PA right. Awful situation. I see people wearing Penn gear in support but I don't know...on one hand I have the utmost respect for Joe but on the other I have no respect for someone not willing to take serious action if that is indeed what happened.

Sapper, what is the link to your blog?
Beastmode... Support? Support for what? A man, a most powerful man who WAS PennUniv., JPaterno was the one in charge of many things at PU, picked board members, etc., and he did nothing about this crime. I suspect if JP wanted someone run out of the state of Penn., he could have done that. Support of Paterno for not properly handling this and sitting on this immoral, sinful, crime against nature and children? They are supporting that? I believe that Paterno, PU police, city/state police, board members, boosters for PU and PU football team, and so many guilty people did nothing. McQueary , the grad asst., who saw, told his father, and then reported it to his PU superiors, still did nothing. In a matter of a few days, did he not see, gee, no police. No investigation? This is such a crime, seems to me if you saw this, you would want to make you are clear of this. You would run to the police. BTW, McQueary, the grad asst., recruiter now willl be at his job this weekend on the sidelines. McQueary has had a wonderful career at PU since he saw the crime. Makes you think, hmmmm. Isn't that interesting. |

I just cannot at all fathom how in the world PSU thinks they are going to have this game on Saturday with major risks or repercussions to the 100K players, coaches, fans, band, cheerleaders, alumni, etc. that will be there. Even a fool can see that PSU needs to man up and forfeit this game given the controversy and unprecented scandal and cover up going on. Letting Nebraska win is the only way for PSU to win.
Emotions are off the charts and there'll be people protesting on both sides, especially with JoePa's cult-like status. Even from a TV standpoint, you're going to have viewers and broadcasters having a hard time thinking about the actual football game they're watching. This football game is going to be a freakshow and there could be riots, injuries and even deaths as a result on Saturday. You're going to have a foreign party in the Huskers and their fans walking into the middle of it and not knowing what kind of reactions are going to happen in that 100K crowd. Heck, their new interim coach is one of the JoePa "good ole boys". What happens if Huskers are leading 28-0 after the first quarter? How many cool heads do you think will be in that stadium under extreme game conditions? And yet PSU might be going through with the game, all because of the almighty payout. Don't be a fool and buy their press conference garbage for a single second that this game is about the players and senior day, blah blah. It is true the PSU football players and college kids may have done nothing wrong, but you're putting all those student athletes in a very tenuous situation for which they can't possibly be equipped to handle. But I guess PSU football is still all about turning the other way and letting the young people and your citizenry remain in danger. Business as usual, PSU football style. Call the game off. |

As the reports come through, the days move on, neugey, you have an excellent point.
Now, it is about business and saving this football program and PU and showing some kind of public remorse. You are right. Forfeit the game. Start cleaning and clearing house. PU should fire the entire coaching staff. Come on, these people knew. Where is the NCAA? Where? I thought the NCAA makes the rules . Carroll and Bush and USC were dealt with for breaking the rules. Rules are rules. Now, Bush's silly stepdad taking gifts and money and Carroll looking the other way, is in no comparison the same as child molestation. Still, USC is paying for years for this with Bush and Carroll. What about PU? |

MCQueary out for Sat. 's game due to death threats, hostile environment...
I predict he will be oust next and then his criminal investigation will begin. I hope he is freaking out about now. Jail. Lawsuit from the victim that McQ saw and did nothing about. |
