TCU outlasts Louisiana Tech
Written by: Jerit Roser Louisiana Gannet SAN DIEGO — Whatever success Louisiana Tech or TCU managed Wednesday night, they each had all the answers for one another — until the final five minutes of play. TCU quarterback Casey Pachall found receiver Skye Dawson for a 42-yard score and 31-24 advantage with 4:26 remaining, and for the first time in the game, the Bulldogs had no rebuttal. Louisiana Tech went three-and-out and mustered just 3 yards on its ensuing possession, punted the ball away and never regained control of it, falling by that same score. TCU coach Gary Patterson referenced his team's 17-16 defeat of Boise State in the 2008 Poinsettia Bowl earlier in the week and said he expected another tough challenge from Louisiana Tech.
