Jefferson throws Game Away

My friends and I were discussing at the waning moments of the game last night how had The Hat actually had a brain in it, he would have covered his @$$ and given Lee a few series earlier in the game...

And the very valid point that no quarterback would have made a difference in that pass rush; but as a few of us argued back, the offensive line never seems very inspired for Jefferson given his history and disposition of tantrums and publicly berating players...

But the interception he served up sums up his career at LSU...

The icing on the cake was he thought he played good but that his team didn't execute...

Let's face it, Les Miles and LSU were unprepared for this game. There was NO offensive gameplan.

LSU's defense was prepared for this game but was expecting the offense to do something.

I agree, I think Lee would have been under serious pressure, but AT LEAST TRY. This was Lee's last season. In like 7 games he had more passing yards and TD's than other SEC quarterbacks had ALL SEASON LONG.

Les Miles stock dropped seriously. He went from FTW (for the win) to WTF!!

Congrats Bama, you guys earned it.

Thank God the fans had only 1 thing they could cheer for, after paying all that money to get into that game. The LSU Golden Band from Tigerland. (pregame of course)

It's true that Miles failed. To not give Lee a shot was as stupid as it gets. The whole team was just flat as a whole. All that goes to the coach. But, you have to give equal credit to Alabama. Saban is a great coach. The Tide's defense is better than several in the NFL. LSU scored nine points in two games against them. Six of the nine in the first game was three coming after an interception placed them close and the other three was in overtime. Alabama called a great game offensively and a few backups made some great plays. They played with a passion and desire.

I heard Miles said he kept Jefferson in the game because he is "athletic."
Its a common trap, and many coaches fall into it. Put in the "athletic" QB. When will they learn that athleticism is a fraction of what makes a
QB.

Jefferson, btw, sounds like a jerk, from everything I hear about him. This might have been karmic.

Bad coaching. They were determined to stop the option(something Jefferson blew at anyways) and our short passing game. The problem I had with leaving Jefferson in was that if we weren't going to open the passing game up for him, there was no point of leaving him in. At least with Jarrett you know we're opening up the play book and playing a more pro style offense... something that would have worked my better than what Bama was pre-determined to shut down. We needed a spark... and not a soul in the stadium didn't think feel Lee should have been given at least a series in the 3rd quarter.

Their discipline was impeccable last night and we failed to make the adjustments.

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.

All little common sense goes a long way.

Your GIF is HILARIOUS.

(not that I know what GIF means... I only know that because I was trying to find this picture thing
with boobies, and come to find out there are a bunch of pictures that show jiggling boobies... called
GIFs, and thats how I know what a GIF is. Tomorrow, I will explain how I know what the term "roses"
means.)

I thought you guys would do better. Terrible offensive performance. IMO it shouldn't have even been Alabama in there though. They had their chance in the regular season and lost. Oklahoma St. may have made more sense. Still I don't know how LSU was this unprepared.
