LSU football gets 41-14 win over North Texas
LSU’s first game-week preparations were disrupted by Hurricane Isaac and the Tigers’ first game didn’t go as smoothly as they would have liked either.
Whether one had anything to do with the other is a matter of conjecture, but LSU’s 41-14 victory against North Texas, a 43-point underdog, on Saturday night in Tiger Stadium left coach Les Miles and his staff plenty of clean-up work to do before facing a more challenging opponent in Washington at home next Saturday. “I can’t put it on the missed day of practice,” Miles said. “You do things the right way. If you don’t have a day of practice, you’re expected to do that anyway. I expect that we will have real quality improvement for our second game.” Continue reading. Re: LSU football gets 41-14 win over North Texas
What a coinkey-dink! ... that's the exact same score Alabama beat Michigan by in Cowboy Stadium last night, ... is this just a prelude to another LSU/Alabama/All SEC matchup for the National Championship again this year? 'Bama looked damned good, LSU fans ... scary good, like they could finish second in the NFC South behind the Saints ... and they got this kid, #28 Milliner at cornerback, who would probably be in the top ten percent of NFL corners if he were in the league today ... why in the hell Michigan would schedule a game like this at this point in their program, IDK ... oh wait, they got $4.5mil to play the game ... yeah, sell your soul and get embarrassed on national TV for a cool, couple million ... kudos to the athletic director at University of Michigan, not! .

I thought Michigan would have been more of a challenge... guess I was wrong.
LSU may have won, but that was one boring game after the first quarter. Offensive line was great run blocking... looked bad pass blocking. The dominating line failed to get to the quarterback. They better shape up for SEC play. |

Went to the game with wifey (she's an LSU fan). Boring, like papz said. North Texas is really bad ... LSU's 2nd string would've still whipped them, mistakes and all.
LSU's still got a couple more weeks against middling opponents - Washington, Idaho - before visiting Auburn at the end of the month. They'll be fine. |
