Notre Dame exercises option to drop Michigan

Notre Dame exercises option to drop Michigan games from 2015-17 | Dr. Saturday - Yahoo! Sports

Man, IDK whether to be pissed at Notre Dame for dropping those games or at Michigan for becoming so crappy during the Rich Rodriguez era to make Notre Dame want to drop those games.

But I'm pretty sure Notre Dame is all-in the ACC now for their other sports and this is to move the football team all-in, the ACC is going to be singing the blues.

F*** Notre Dame. Everything they do is money driven. Michigan carried them for the last 15 years when ND was awful, but now that the Big 10 has slipped, the Irish want someone else?

I could be wrong but I thought they were joining the ACC in everything BUT football. A little bit of a head scratcher, I guess.

Notre Dame, the team the destroyed college football on NBC.
I mean, they sign this exclusive long-term tv deal with NBC, and who seriously watches them except when they play big name teams like Michigan or USC... oh wait, those are the only 2 big name teams they play a year! Well, maybe Michigan State too - seriously, ND is irrelevant and we still get them shoved down our throats.

... ... yeah, I guess the story doesn't have the same impact it would if it had been Notre Dame dropping LSU or Notre Dame dropping Alabama, .

Yeah, you notice they're not ADDING any SEC teams to their schedule. Notre Dame doesn't NEED to play any big name teams. The voters bump them 8 spots every time they beat Slippery Rock, there's no point in playing anyone who might actually beat them ... although Navy usually does!

I'm with ScottF, F'em!

My measuring stick back in the '80s was any team with Eastern Carolina on their schedule should have an asterick placed next to any National Championship or Bowl Game they should win. They were all Independents back then, but I still thought teams like Notre Dame/Florida State had no business playing teams like Eastern Carolina, but we all know why they do it.

I would think Notre Dame would want to keep playing Michigan. They're both big draws, #1 (MI) and #2 (ND) in college football winning percentages and by taking advantage of MI's current state and beating them, ND could probably even take over the #1 spot.

... and on a side note, Catholic priests are not allowed to marry necessarily for religious reasons, but because the early Catholic Church did not want any survivors having claim to Church property when a priest passed away, ie a spouse claiming ownership in a rectory after her husband/priest dies ... and now this dropping of Michigan from the schedule ... pile on!! .
