LSU Bama
Giving Bama the edge. It would take LSU's defense scoring a couple of times to make it a game. Mettenberger's completion percentage is hovering around 45% against the the best teams they have played so far. That is not going to work against Bama. 27-14.

Re: LSU Bama
The big day... hoping for some soberness to enjoy one hell of a game. Death Valley on a Saturday night versus Bama... the place will be rockin'. Hopefully with the home field advantage, we'll be able to squeak one out.
Though we were not successful throwing the ball the other week, at least we opened up the playbook. Hopefully we learned our lesson from the NCG and let 'er rip. It's time to shine Mett. http://www.tigalaya.com/public/style...efault/LSU.gif |
Re: LSU Bama
Crazy thing is both teams records show they fair better on the road against each other so the one advantage LSU has is a disadvantage as of late. I do believe though LSU is the only team that can stop them. If that happens we could see another BCS rematch. As much as people said they didn't want to see it the ratings said something entirely different.

Re: LSU Bama
Geaux to hell BAMA!!!
More importantly; GEAUX TO HELL OLE MISS!!!! Papz, We need that dancing Mike on the "Smilies" list!!!!! GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!!! |
Re: LSU Bama
I concur!
And a Saints one too. |
Re: LSU Bama
I just know I'm sick of hearing how LSU can "save the country from SEC overload." Gimme a break, a bunch of SEC teams give each other one loss and the voters wet their panties putting Notre Dame & Kansas State in the title game. WEAK.
That said ... ROLL TIDE ROLL!!! |
Re: LSU Bama
LSU's receivers....they are going to have to start hauling in passes beyond 3 yards. 2 big drops but the run game is moving the chains.
|
Re: LSU Bama
Yeah, LSU is moving the ball on the ground ... we're not used to that!
|
Re: LSU Bama
We do indeed have a game. Bama has done nothing 2nd half.
|
Re: LSU Bama
Pretty TD. Where has that been all season.
|
Re: LSU Bama
What a great game. I picked bama but was surprised by the suspect LSU O against such a heralded D
|
Re: LSU Bama
Mark Ingram has a lot of time this weekend. Good game Tigers, best game they played all season.
|
Re: LSU Bama
LSU played a fine game, we played like tee-total schitt in the 2nd half. We'll take it, but that was a fugly win.
|
Re: LSU Bama
I only saw 4th qrtr. LSU played so well, strong, and then lost.
|
Re: LSU Bama
Miles Outcoached himself. Should have passed for the first and not tried the FG. Mettenberger was pretty hot for the last couple series passing.
Miles zigged when he should have zagged. |
Re: LSU Bama
It was a good game, LSU should move up in the polls despite the loss IMO.
|
Re: LSU Bama
Tigers played great.
Tide played a good 1st half and last 2 minutes. Les lost the game. |
Re: LSU Bama
Alabama played their worst game and won.
|
Re: LSU Bama
I will bet that with 2:40 left in the game most of you Tide fans were worried.
|
Re: LSU Bama
Dang LSU let Bama off the hook and now we gotta crown 'em again. Somebody please beat Bama. Anybody. Even Notre Dame.
|
Re: LSU Bama
At this point, if we make it to the title game, I HOPE we play Notre Dame. I'm so schitt-sick of hearing about them, I can't think of anything that would make me happier than watching Bama smack their fugly, gold-helmeted azzez around for 60 minutes.

Re: LSU Bama
I want an SEC team to win the N.C. again. Yes, even if it is Alastinkinbama.
I was rather shocked to see that LSU only fell 2 spots. I guess that the computers and voters are starting to see the truth. That the SEC IS, without a doubt the best conference in NCAA D-I Football. I want Bama to play ND or Oregon or K State. I want to sit back and watch the skull drag those teams 60 mins. I want the sportscasters to be forced to stop talking about USC, Oregon, or whoever! I want them to know that when the season starts that even a 2 loss SEC team is better than any other team. And to be the best you have to beat the best. The thing that hurts us (and it shouldn't) is that the SEC beats it's self up throughout the season and then has to play another SEC team at the end of the regular season for a confernece championship. You can't tell me that, just for kicks and giggles; that if Bama were to go the SEC CG and lose to Florida in a close game; that Bama shouldn't go to the NC game?!?! Hell yeah the should. And this comes from a BAMA HATER. |
Re: LSU Bama
I thought to myself (because I was the only one in the room at the time) before they lined up for the 45 yarder:
PUNT. A punt there and LSU is still celebrating. LSU has an excellent punter - decent chance he leaves Alabama with 90+ yards to go. The way they run the clock in college - I'm tellin ya LSU should have punted. They didn't, and three plays later it was all but over. LSU was out coached, and that's sad, because the players on the field for LSU deserved that win. Nice going Les... |

All week their "journalists" yapped about how LSU could save the college football world tons of grief by knocking Bama off, thereby swinging the door WIDE OPEN for inferior teams like Oregon, K-State and (gawd help us) Notre Dame to prance into the title game worry-free, without fear of (insert SEC team HERE) stomping them fore-and-aft. Without outright admitting it, what they're saying is, "we just want an SEC-free title game, so we don't have to acknowledge how god-awful DOMINANT they really are." Please!!! The only way an SEC team doesn't win the national title is if the BCS keeps us out. Our middle-of-the-road teams (Georgia, Miss. State, South Carolina) would give any non-SEC team all the trouble they want and more ... to say nothing of our elites (Bama, LSU, Florida). This fact is killing ESPN's "sports reporters," but there's little they can do about it. |
Re: LSU Bama
K-State is becoming my favorite among the contenders this year. Being a Longhorns fan I've come to respect Snyder and how hard they play as they've upset the Horns in impressive fashion a few times. Also I have a new grey cat who looks a bit like their mascot :)
And on top of that there's the Sproles connection. He was a real beast with K-State. |

It was a great game. The entire country enjoyed the great caliber of SEC football. ND, Kst and O should be quaking in their boots as none of those teams could hold a candle to either Bama or LSU. |

I see it much differently my friend. You are lucky it wasn't a 4 score Bama win. |

Re: LSU Bama
LSU played a part in Bama playing their so-called worst game and still won. It was one hell of a football game against one hell of a football team that which LSU lost to. Why can't we just leave it at that?
I think it's tacky and find it embarassing that you feel LSU was lucky to be in this game against Bama. I honestly would not have expected that from you Danno. Color me disappointed... not that it really matters. |

I thought the two best teams in the nation played in Baton Rouge that night. I'm just bitter that LSU fans just won't accept that Bama won. Yes, its petty but I frequently respond in kind. Its a character flaw. |

Gotcha.
