Texas A&M vs Bama

Bama not as good as advertised. Some might say lucky. Their cream puff schedule has caught up with them. Yeldon is a fumble machine.

WOW, A&M played their worst game and won.

What? A&M played flawless football. Give them the credit they deserve. They converted nearly every 3rd down, made zero mistakes and Bama gave them 2 picks and a fumble.

Texas A&M played great. They are a very good team.

It was kinda funny to see Saban cry like a school girl at the end...

Bama won't fall far. They'll set at 3 or 4.
Bama's defense was re-organized and is showing some weakness.
Their still a strong contended.
Thought tonight was their second challenge of the season.
A&M took advantage of many things LSU exposed.

Re: Texas A&M vs Bama

Wouldn't it be funny if they somehow snuck back up to number 2 and played in the title game again?

They'll win their next two, then probably sneak by Georgia.

A lot can happen in 4 weeks.

Could happen.
Believe me, we saw this with LSU in 2007..... tons of football left to play.
Just think about the twists that paved Bama back in the BCS game last year.

K-State is GOOD and disserves to be there.
I STILL have my doubts about Oregon. I dunno, they're like a circus team that looks good on paper and pads wins.... when they played LSU last year they got SMOKED.

They looked weak and small compared to LSU. LSU pushed them around like it was a toy.

Oregon could still lose a game and drop.

Wouldn't be worried about Notre Dame. Not only could they lose to anybody, but their competition combined record is horrible. Already talking about a 1 loss Bama or Georgia could leapfrog them.

Precisely why we need real playoffs, preferably with a 16 team bracket max just so no one can beotch about being left out. There is no way any of the undefeateds beat a top tier SEC team.

And the new 4 game playoff is going to do nothing to stop BCS "controversey."
Playoff system are "the American Way" as far as I'm concerned, and most of the rest of America too. In the NFL, luck or not - bad refs - acts of god - etc. - nothing can take away any teams' Superbowl victory.

We never wake up the day after the Superbowl and say "what if So-in-so got in? What a great game that would have been." That's because there is no chance So-in-so would get in without winning head to head matches on a path to the SB.

Meaning - NO Championship in College football is entirely "undisputed." Heck they can even split the BCS on you with the AP etc.! We're still awarding Championships by "poll" and not merit in college football.

To make it through the SEC is brutal. In college or pro football, if you turn the ball over, you can be beat. The A&M coach is the real deal. Their QB is a star in the making. They brought the effort. They could have/maybe should have beat Florida and LSU. On a neutral field, Bama would be favored over Kansas State, Oregon, and double digits over Notre Dame. But, if Kansas State and Oregon goes undefeated, they should play in the title game. Six teams in the SEC could beat Notre Dame.

So wtf happened? At least LSU beat Texas A&M in College Station. Proves Bama had a cream puff schedule before LSU. Bama only had one true game to get up for and won that contest barely.

Re: Texas A&M vs Bama

Funny, I never knew there were so many Texas A&M fans in Louisiana until Saturday!!! :)

I had to work absurdly-long hours all weekend - I actually slept at work Saturday night - so I managed to miss both Bama / A&M AND Saints / Falcons (although I had WWL for that one).

I knew A&M had a good team, and frankly the Tide got exposed against LSU, but I hoped we'd come out angry against A&M. Instead, sounds like we got off to a slow start & couldn't catch up.

Oh well, now that all the SEC teams have handed each other a loss, I guess the nation gets that SEC reprieve ESPN has been whining about. Nobody to blame but ourselves ...

I have said it before and I will say it again.

A 2 loss SEC team is better than an undefeated PAC, MAC, BIG 10, BIG 12 or whatever in the hell other conf. you want to throw at them. 19 times out of 20 a 2 loss SEC team will win.

A&M played a great game. While I was happy about getting them; I knew what was to be expected from them. They can play football. Get ready to add A&M into the SEC elite in 2-3 years. After 5 years the Longhorns will do everything in their power to NOT play A&M. I am happy to see the rivalry renewed with A&M and LSU, but now that they will be in the same conf.... it's going to be rough. What recruit doesn't want to go to an SEC team???? None. They all know that the SEC gives them the best shot at a N.C.

Yes, a little grin did come across my face Sat. However, Bama fans; keep your heads up. I feel sure you will be playing for the Championship. ( I just vomited and hit myself in the balls for saying that)

Why does the West get A&M?
Why couldn't we get Mizzou?

I know.... I know.... Mizzou is east of A&M.... but the West side is already STACKED with ridiculous talent and good teams (or teams that can breakout as GOOD any season), and the EAST is like an ultra-competitive version of the ACC. It's NOT FAIR they get the cupcake as the East is already packed with CUPCAKE TEAMS!

GEEESH!

I wish I knew the answer to that question, Mark.

The West is brutal. Even now as MS State is starting to show some life. Trust me, MS State will get stronger and stronger. Then we will have Bama, LSU, A&M, and MS State; you can lup Auburn in there because they will fire Chiznit and will be a better team. The East sits with FLA, SC and Georgia. TN is 10 yrs away from getting back into the mix.

It's Crazy.

So, you guys blast Alabama's "creampuff schedule" on one hand and then complain how tough the SEC West is on the other.

Does not compute. I smell hypocrisy.

I haven't blasted their schedule. I think they need some easy schools. LSU does it.

Alabama Crimson Tide Football Schedule - ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE - University of Alabama Official Athletic Site

Well... if the shoe fits, right?

Impressive wins here:
Western Kentucky
Florida Atlantic
Arkansas
Western Carolina next week
We now know Michigan sucks, as does Tennessee and Mizzou and Ole Miss
The Auburn game is not supposed to suck, but it will this year.

So basically, you all scheduled three high school teams.

Bama split the two real teams they played.

Of course, the very same can be said about LSU, except they played Florida and South Carolina. But they were breaking in a new QB and the OLine was also transitioning.

Going forward, the SEC west will likely prove to be more formidable than the east.

Yeah, if Stanford had to blow it against ND, at least they accepted that OT gift Oregon gave them. Baylor proved K. State wasn't as good as advertised.

Conference title games will be quite interesting this season, looks like. Fitting that "independent" ND won't be playing in one ...

I smell a Bama-Florida title game.

Notre Dame loses @ USC
Bama beats Auburn and UGA
Florida wins @ Florida State

#1 Bama versus #2 Florida... Book it!

Re: Texas A&M vs Bama

I think Klein is one hell of a football player. With that said, it was...

K frickin' State... K frickin' State.

I give ND props for their undefeated season so far... but they'd have no business in the BCS Championship game. Miss State would mop the floor with them much less the SEC powerhouses. This playoff system needs to be enforced ASAP.

They won't let to SEC schools play for the National Championship. What happened last year with LSU playing Bama won't happen again imo.
