Most Expensive College Football Tickets 2013
Plan on traveling to Dallas to see the LSU football team take on TCU in August? According to AL.com, college football fans hoping to watch the game in person will have to pay the second-highest price for any game this season.
In an analysis done by TiqIQ the average ticket price for the Tigers' season opener is $584.13, which puts it only $42.29 cheaper than the league-leading matchup of Alabama and Texas A&M in College Station, Texas. The list compiles the top-30, average ticket prices for the 2013 college football season. The company computes averages by looking at listed resale prices that includes all major sellers, such as StubHub and eBay LSU is tied with Alabama and Georgia for the most games on the list with five apiece. Notre Dame, Ohio State and Florida are tied with four games each on the list. The highest priced home game for the Tigers is the Nov. 23 game that features reigning Heisman winner Johnny Manziel and Texas A&M. The game is No. 8 on the list at $448.46. The LSU-Alabama game, which has been one of the most anticipated matchups in recent years, is the fourth most expensive ticket on the Tigers' schedule this season at $370.29. LSU also holds the No. 11 spot in an away game with Georgia and No. 16 when Florida comes to Baton Rouge. Sixteen of the 30 games feature at least one SEC team -- the most of any conference. One of the more surprising games on the list is No. 22 Houston at Temple on Sept. 7, with an average price of $302.43. TipIQ said that's because there is currently a limited quantity of tickets available on the resale market. Ticket prices will change throughout the season depending on how the different teams perform.
