Wow, I thought this was satire at first. What a bunch of whiners. I hope that program crashes and burns forever in obscurity.

We may not know exactly how bad the athletic department is managed or how bad the facilities for sports are up there. I heard a rumor once that some high schools have better facilities. Again, just talking from a rumor I heard.

There are fans of both schools that paid money to see that game. There are numerous people who's job depends on that game being played.

Cowards, every damn one of them. There are better ways to make a statement than to screw the people who are likely on your side.

I hope they crash and burn. I'd fire everyone involved and rescind every scholarship to every player on that team and offer it to players who want to be there and who won't screw their fans and supporters.

In my eyes, that program needs an enema.

Grambling State football players complained of mold and mildew on equipment and in facilities, having to pay for Gatorade out of their own pockets

The athletic complex "is in horrible condition, and has many hazards that may contribute to our overall health," the letter says. "First, the complex is filled with mildew and mold. Mildew and mold can be seen on the ceiling, walls and floor, and are contributing to water leaks because of faltering walls and ceilings."

"The uniforms are poorly cleaned and contribute to the multiple cases (of) staph infection," the letter reads. "Several players have been infected with staph multiple times."

Agree they need an enema.

Shame on the administrators for allowing that to happen, but where there is smoke there is fire.
You can't just give a kid a scholarship and treat them like garbage. Those kids give up their lives, free-time, everything to play for the school.

Would you practice and play in a moldy cesspool having to buy a Gatorade from a sideline panhandler so you can get a drink? Would you work in these conditions?

Again the kids are far from cowards. A coward would say nothing. The cowards are the shyster administrators driving around in their Cadillac Escalade while students live in a crap hole.

But Danno, I agree with you, the department and the university need an enema. They need to clean house on the entire school administration, but don't blame the kids.
How can this even happen in modern times? I have my opinions but will refrain here.

It's just sad.
