Baylor? #4? Loses to unranked WV
Oregon? #2? Loses to unranked Arizona
Oklahoma was ranked #4 preseason, and they've dropped TWO by the mid-way point.
South Carolina ranked #9 preseason, and they've dropped THREE by the mid-way point.

Of course, if you know me at all, I gotta mention my guys from Stark-Vegas. Not even in the Top 25 and now they're sitting #1 mid-way through October.

Seriously? That alone just confirms how stupid these glue-sniffing pollsters from the AP really are. I think the AP doesn't even watch college football and cast their vote on name recognition and/or the scores they see Sunday morning and/or regional bias.

Here's an idea. Rank nobody until the middle of October. Hell, how about until after the stinking season ends? Will it work? Probably not. Folks will still want to do rankings, just like idiotic folks try to rank PRO FOOTBALL.

Really? Rankings for the NFL? It's a practice that's the equivalent of a monkey trying to hump a greased football.

That's what I think about rankings, anyways. What do y'all think? Really interested to hear some opinions on this. I'm charging Capital Hill if I get enough backers to get legislation to ban college football rankings until an appropriate time during or after the season to determine the playoff scenarios.

Of course, the 1st Amendment confirms these morons their right to rank college AND the NFL & we certainly don't have to pay attention to the rankings...but I will do my best to try to save America from this jackass-ery.

The SEC beats the crap out of each other every year. I don't know how those odds are like that, but the SEC West is just so much better than the SEC Least. The SEC Championship won't carry as much weight as years before, unless UGA can step it up big.

And I'll give it up for Michigan State...pretty dang good football team, and I really wished they would have beat up on the Clucks (who represent everything that is WRONG in college football). Mich State does have a legit claim if they can take down Ohio State.

I'll be a big Michigan State fan that day. Really don't like Ohio State.

Yeah, I'm from the Bo Schembechler/Woody Hayes "Big 2, Little 8" era and I definitely don't like me some OSU, :lol:. It's hurting me to have to give Michigan State their props too, but Dantonio (H/C) has done a great job there in East Lansing, :).

Looks like their inching Florida State back up towards the top spot after the ND win, :rolleyes: ... I like having the Bulldogs at #1, it's a nice change of pace in NCAAF, :).

Actually, I was kinda hoping FSU would overtake my Miss State team...gives them more incentive to go out and keep winning.

Honestly, I'm very uncomfortable with being #1. Comes with never, ever seeing it happen. Ever.

FSU is just not that good, no matter the record. Lucky they played ND at home.
The SEC is probably gonna knock each other out of the talk, which is the underlying goal of changing to the playoffs anyway.

I'm pickin' up what you're puttin' down.

Some absolutely stoopid s--t will transpire where we have the FSU Crab-leg Thieves versus some whipped-cream, marshmallow PAC-12/Big 10/Big 12 team with all SEC teams looking from the outside because they will beat up on each other between now and the end of November.

In a perfect world, the FSU Crab-leg Thieves get to find out what a real defense looks like for 60 minutes and they get to watch their idiot QB get plowed into a powder by a real football team from the SEC. Bama, Miss State, Auburn...doesn't matter, just as long as its not that Ole Piss team.

Sorry, I detest the Rebels...err...Bears...err...whatever they're called.
