Re: Is Bama Doomed?
He's a good recruiter but as a coach...
Lets just say the Tiger Nation is not very happy about this hire and the Bama Nation couldn't care less. Its kinda like if Atlanta hired Joe Vitt to be their Defensive Coordinator. |

Looks like Orgeron is joining the staff as DL coach; another good recruiter presumably. Maybe that helps. Another bites the dust, however. Alabama loses another assistant coach to SEC West rival | CollegeFootballTalk | |

Re: Is Bama Doomed?
LSU now boast the best recruiting staff in the nation. Granted Saban and "Bama" recruits itself, but adding Steele and Orgeron to Frank Wilson, Cam Cameron, Jeff Grimes, among others... will help us tremendously locking down the state and hopefully preventing Bama from stealing some of the top LA recruits on a yearly basis. Orgeron's reach also goes from coast to coast... big time hire right there.

Re: Is Bama Doomed?
Kevin Steele was the DC for Clemson when West Virginia put up 70 on them in the Orange Bowl.
Not a good hire for Les imo. Unless LSU's offense improves, this could spell the end of Les Miles' run at LSU. In my opinion. (Although I hope not, I'm a huge LM fan) |
