Though it's likely some of both the LSU O line has to be given considerable credit because it's amazing how often he is coming through the line or turning the corner untouched.

The offensive line IS very good, but I think a big reason he goes untouched on some of his long runs is because of his vision and acceleration. He doesn't just plow ahead like so many big backs do. He's got speed that hasn't been seen for a guy his size, since Herschel Walker. Which is why I consistently compare Fournette to him.

He gets a hole, see's a cut back and just flies through it. It's a joy to watch. And when they do touch him, he always throws the first guy off, and it takes multiple players to get him down. I'm so used to guys just putting their head down and trying to run over a tackler only to be brought down and get the announcers going "oh what a hit!"... blah.

Fournette just tosses them aside and keeps going. I love it.
SmashMouth and Beastmode like this.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

I recently read that every back on the team is averaging over 5 yds per carry. Of course Fournette is averaging like 8 or 9 per carry. The line is great. The WRs are fast, tall and athletic and Harris has a Cannon and can run a little too. LSU beats Ohio State in the title game this year. Go Tigers!
