College football at Lambeau Field won’t include Lambeau Leap, by LSU players
On Wednesday, LSU coach Les Miles made his position that Lambeau Leaping will result in hitchhiking home.
“I promise you that if anybody jumps [for] the Lambeau Leap, they’ll end up with their thumb out to see if they can get a ride home,” Miles said Wednesday, via CFT. “It’s college football, and we’ll play it that way, and I think our guys understand. We’ll do it right.” College football at Lambeau Field won’t include Lambeau Leap, by LSU players | ProFootballTalk |

Maybe no Lambeau leaping is allowed, but they can still carry Miles off on their shoulders at the end of yet another underachieving season. At least we can look forward to that.
I'm sorry, I know it's a cardinal sin to declare the season a failure after one game, but it's less about the fact that they lost and more about the fact that, after all to typical off-season rhetoric about changing the offense, it was exactly the same, and we still couldn't get even half decent QB play yesterday. There are plenty of big games to get back into the race, but it's difficult to imagine that they will make it through the meat of the schedule if we're going to put it all on Fournette, yet again. All the people who cried about the "injustice" of firing Miles last year have been saying that he would be motivated to change things. Believe me, I hoped they were right. But it was never realistic. |

I sure hope they don't run that kid (Fournette) into the ground this season. Harris is not the answer at QB. I honestly see them possibly losing 3, 4 games this year.
Side note - that cheap shot at the end also shows lack of discipline from this Les Miles group. |

I wouldn't go over board with that cheap shot. It was pure frustration and I'm sure he feels rotten about now. Maybe a 1/2 game suspension and running the bleachers for a week would be fair. Anything more than that I'd consider too harsh. He didn't go after his knees or anything like that, he just gave him a little love tap.:p |

But I'm always more upset that Miles and his staff continue to fail in either identifying, or developing good QB's. There are some guys on the roster now, and a couple coming next year who really have some talent. A couple of them are extremely talented. I want to be excited about those players, but I have so little confidence that they will be given the opportunities they need to develop. Every year, when you should be letting your QB's get their work in during those blow out, early season games, Les Miles just wants to run it. And then he asks his QB to bail him out later in the season when the running game stalls due to extreme predictability. The kid falls flat on his face and loses even more confidence. It's a sad script. No excuse to waste so much talent on this team. Speaking of side notes, I had to edit my above post when I noticed I said cardinal "season" instead of sin. That's the dumbest typo of all time. |

Hopefully the SEC gets involved. Should be 2 games absolute minimum. |

That would be sooooo cool to play a game there.
