Re: LSU Football Legend Billy Cannon Passes at Age 80

When I was younger, I traveled about as an international officer of my youth service fraternity and I got to know Mr. Ron Burton who was a runner up to Cannon for the Heisman...

It was interesting to hear his perspective about Billy Cannon as they competed even later in the AFL (Mr. Burton played for the Boston Patriots)...

Mr. Burton told me that Cannon could have even played in today's game, even as a cornerback as Cannon was that quick-twitched an athlete...

One of my best friend's growing up Dad played at Tulane and against Cannon for all three years going 1-1-1; Mr. Roy started, playing HB, like Cannon, and DB...

Mr. Roy had great stories to tell as well; we're really losing some significant history these past few years...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
