I'm in Gonzales, LA. We are okay. No flooding and not damage to my house, so... very lucky.
My parents are in LaPlace. Can't get in tough with anyone there. Pretty sure my sister flooded though. |

thanks for that, Stickman.
Im listening to WWL each morning, on my way to work in Houston. Just getting the feel, from all the people calling in to Scoot. I'm sure there are opinions about the programming, etc. I just wanted to hear some people's voices from there. |

I took a ride to LaPlace today. Which is about 20 miles outside of New Orleans and where I grew up. It is F'd up. It seems like the sides of every roadway are covered with debris that had to be moved out of the way and a large number of power lines are down. And by down I mean the poles are flat on the ground. It will be a very long time before they are anywhere near back to normal. They did get water back yesterday though. So that should help.

Still on generator in Old Mandy. Hope to get power restored today, crossing my fingers.
Everyone is dealing with some form of challenge, some bad and some not so bad. It's a slow process and progress is happening. | |

More and more places open selling gas here in Ascension Parish. Also, more people getting power, so less locals needing gas for generators. If anyone needs gas, which I know someone does.
